I gave it one star because they refuse to give me disability. I've been disabled since I was a year old. But they told me that there's nothing wrong with me. I also can't comprehend a lot of things, can't work, and I don't know any life skills. I've lived with my family my whole life. So my older sister is my caretaker. If something was to happen to my family, I have nowhere else to go. I also suffer from depression and I take medication. So I really need disability benefits so that I can be financially stable and be able to care for myself. I also never married, which I'm unable to do.

I had to update my review, even when it was challenging to get somebody on the phone; once I got my appointment schedule and went there, everything was quick and smooth. The security officer made it a 10+. He has a fantastic spirit; he takes customer service the extra mile.

They can take quite a while to get back to you, after a week, call them back to confirm they have you listed to get an appointment. It could take anywhere from another week to a month before they get back to you with an appointment date. The appointment itself is very quick however less than 20 minutes for me.

Iu2019d like to give 0 stars. Itu2019s been over two years, maybe you should open up to the public, or at the very least, answer the phone. Disgraceful. How the heck do you make an appointment

Was told I needed a payee rep but with no explanation. Guy did not give me any info except for the form to go open the account with my sister in-law.

Called after a couple months (maybe Aug 2020) when covid started to do a name change. Was told on the phone that the documents needed to be mailed in after going on the SSA website and printing and filling out the form. I waited a year hoping the SSA offices would be open. (Aug 2021) I went to the SSA. (Door was locked as offices were still closed due to covid) (except for appts for urgent matters which they were seeing in office)). However, I eventually spoke to the security officer at the location. Left the form and documents needed in a drop box. (The security officer was the nicest and very helpful). I got all my things back in a month!! It was very efficient. Thank you!!

Worst service EVER. Do not send your documents here. I got married in December of 2020, filled out a name change application Mid-March and it is the end of July and I have nothing yet. I have called almost every week, every month and still have been told they canu2019t see that my application and whether it has been processed. They are so busy that they have other cities in West Florida answering their phone calls.

My grandmother passed away in April and the office in Plantation helped my family handle all her final issues with Social Security. Staff and management was kind and helpful and even though we couldnu2019t go into the office everything was handled through the mail. Thank you!

This is for mr. Hernu00e1ndez and mrs. Montero. They were super rude to me. And both hang up the phone when I asked to speak to a supervisor. Management needs to do a better job on training manera to these people. Every time they are sooo rude to customers. Smh

If I was to rate this place a zero , I definitely would. The people that answer the phone are extremely rude and of no help.why is the office still close is beyond comprehension. They're blaming closing the office on Covid. Stop it!!!!!

The best experience ever by far! I came here to get my name change. I usually do all my research before so I found the form i needed online on their website and had already filled it out. I arrived at 8:35am. Even though the hours are from 9-5 they let you come in the building before 9am so that you may check in and get your ticket number and fill out forms if you have to. They place is spacious with a lot of call windows. They begin calling number promptly at 9 and sure enough my number was called shortly after. I walked out of the building by 9:17am. It was definitely a painless process. The lady at the window was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. Definitely the go-to location for any SS issues.

Quick, easy and convenient experience. I just got married and needed to do a name change and I was so worried about being stuck there for half a day. I ended up going about 12:30 which I expected to wait atleast a hour or two since it was during the lunch hour. I promptly checked in to the kiosk with no appointment( I was not able to make one) and sat down. Within 7 minutes I was called to a window (they have 45 of them!).nnThe woman helping me was very friendly and quick. She double checked everything and made sure I confirmed all the information as well to avoid errors. I was in and out within 15 minutes even with a full waiting room. I would recommend this location, it was the best experience I have had at a government run facility!

I had a particular situation I could not make an appointment for and had to go for a walk in. The office was clean and orderly and the process went smoothly. The staff were extremely kind and went above and beyond to fulfill my request as quickly as possible. Itu2019s never a pleasure doing business at a government office but the folks here truly did their best to make the experience as pleasant as possible!

Fast service, got there 30 min. Before my appointment time and they called me in 5 min. After I got there, the lady who took care of me was great! (Window 21), I need to go back, I'll be returning to this one

I tried to replace my lost SS card and was told I need to bring my birth certificate to a doctor so they can write me a letter back to them verifying my social security number. Did we need any more proof that Federal government employees are worthless? No, we had plenty. But that didn't stop them from from being as stupid as they can be. A per usual.

Very clean, well managed and their security guard is very courteous. The white officer who wears the cap. His voice is not in a tone. demeaning when he asks you to put your phone on vibrate. He also opens the door for everyone.

Worst Social Security Office I've ever been to I just sat through 6 hours again called on twice told to go sit back down still not got no help been up there 3 times for a social security card and they sent me one but once the wrong address when I was in the middle moving and it should have got forwarded to the new address but didn't I'll come there. Third time in the longest and worst of the all they tell me they can't help me even though they didn help me twice before I've been going back and forth for them since December is August now

The place is clean, the workers are very kind and so efficient. I was there without an appointment but everything was ok. They try to attend fast and talk in Spanish. I congratulate the workers and recommend this office.

This Social Security office is flawlessly clean, efficient, and friendly. The representative that helped me through several applications, a Mr. Karmen, is professional and friendly and was genuinely concerned about my benefits.
