Personally dropped off my documents to this office Jan 27/22. Received my documents back with a letter stating they have received my application and I will have my card in 2 weeks. Nope, called the gentleman stated itu2019s all cleared up and within 2 weeks I will have my cardu2026.nopeu2026called again same story. Everyone stating it just has to be signed off by a manager. Called today (nine weeks) guy canu2019t find my application or documents. Yet last three people I spoke with were all able to locate my application. Tells me to reapply at another office. No manager available of course. Now 9 weeks unemployed due to this issue. Called other office they canu2019t process it because this office has accepted and started the application. Guess I will have to apply for social assistance as they are preventing me from working.

I had a wonderful experience. I called first thing and got an appointment, the lady was very nice to me. I expected the worst and got the best! I wish you all have a pleasant experience like I did. Remember you catch bees with honey, not vinager

If I could give it a zero I would! I have been calling to make an appointment for weeks and all I get is the recording to wait and some one will be with me shortly. Yesterday I waited 47 minutes and just couldnu2019t sit with the phone anymore. Today I went to the ocala office and waited 40 minutes OUTSIDE in this HEAT. There were no benches or seats for us. It is almost 90. You must have room for ppl to sit inside and not have heat stroke. So frustrating!

If I could give them 0 stars I would! This is the second time they have never called me when I had a scheduled appointment! Not to mention it takes MONTHS to even schedule an appointment! I donu2019t know if someone keeps hanging up in my face or the phone is continuously loosing service but every time I wait at least an hour to speak to someone the phone hangs up in the middle of me talking and they donu2019t call back. Iu2019m so angry and upset because my moms Alzheimeru2019s is gradually increasing and she has been out of work for years because of it! They keep having to re-schedule my appointments and then they never call me when it comes time to the appointment after Iu2019ve been looking forward to it for MONTHS!

I have never dealt with such rude and completely inept people in my life. I have been needing assistance with an issue that I got a letter on in December of 2021. My case worker refuses to answer any of my calls and doesnu2019t respond to voicemails. Government workers that are supposed to be working for us do not deserve their jobs. They honestly treat us like we are peasants. No respect, and we get talked down to because we are on social security. Why are we not allowed to go in for an appt? Let alone even get ahold of someone for a phone call. Completely absurd.

I would make it 0 stars if that was an option. They are incredibly rude once they finally answer the phone. They donu2019t let you finish what you are trying to say before they cut you off. I had to ask to speak 6 times and the woman constantly cut me off with an answer but it didnu2019t answer my question had she let me finish. Really disappointed they canu2019t find better people to work in a settling like this. Especially when I tried to kill her with kindness.

They aren't open except for appointments. They never answer the phone to make an appointment. They have people's income on the line and could care less if you get your check or not.

an employee from ss interviewed me and was very nasty and rude. I did not like to be spoken to in that manner and it stressed me out all day.. they should teach there employees phone manners..

Very crowded inside, there are ppl standing against the wall waiting. Parking lot is difficult because of a high wall on two sides makes more crowded. But the ppl are really nice and they seem to want to help you.

How are you supposed to set up an appointment if your phone services are closed. This office needs to figure it out because I donu2019t see anywhere on their website to set an appointment up.

I spoke with the SSA office in Ocala after two days and 3 hours a day on hold. I finally had our issue handled and resolved by an extremely personable guy and I am ashamed to say I did not get his name. However if anyone calls that office and a Ms Cordova answers hang up quickly. She is beyond a doubt the rudest and nastiest women to ever to answer a phone. I ask to speak to her supervisor and she refused. Hopefully someone will pass this on to the appropriate people so she can be replaced.

always the same ,no one is available to talk to you on the phone and I can not make an appointment, does any one know what the heck is goin on .

What a joke. I've been trying for 2 weeks to make an appointment and NO ON EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. What am I supposed to do? You cant request a replacement card for a minor online and I can't seem to make an appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm on hold for 20 minutes, then it just hangs up, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Terrible Service

So far great ,I called ,waited for about 5 mins for answer . I spoke to a very patient, understanding, kind man Mr Robertson, he understood my Predicament and gave me an appointment . I get back what I put out !

This is the worst office ever. These people don't care about the customers and their needs! I wish I can give 0 stars but it doesn't give you that opportunity...

It's February 23,2021 and I was denied an appointment to change my name due to recent marriage. I was advised to do it by mail. I do not feel comfortable sending my personal information through the mail.nYet, I am able to go to Drivers License office in person as long as I wear a mask???nI can go out shopping, to a bar, restaurant, Drivers License, court house but no SS office?
    Zach Weible
They will not pick up the phone. They will not return your voicemail, they will not keep their own appointment. They will, however, send you a letter scalding you for not keeping your appointment when you were on vacation.
    Zachary Belton
They hung up on my wife, then when she finally gets through is told she has to send the sensitive information, as well as forms she will need for other places through the mail. This is June 2021. There is no reason she shouldn't be able to do this in person when every other government office is open and allowing people inside!
    Kaitlynn Marie
How can you make an appointment if no one answers the phone and you wait on hold for an hour
    Laura Benefield
How the h.e.l.l. are you suppose to get an appointment when no one ever answers the phone??? Our effin tax dollars 'in action'.

Having read so many negative reviews, I prepared myself for a no-fun visit to the Ocala Social Security office.nI was there at 8:10am on a chilly Thursday morning with seven people in front of me. By the time the office opened at 8:45 to check in, there were about 20 people there.nThe security guard was very friendly. The office was clean, and laid out well. The big problem there is that there is only one kiosk to sign in at, which slowed things down considerably.nThey started calling people back at 9am, and my issue was taken care of by a very kind and efficient representative named Shawna. She answered my questions and patiently provided explanations when I didnu2019t understand. I walked out of the office at 9:35am. A dreaded visit turned out to be a very pleasant experience.

I just call it today , I wait for 15 minutes and the man answer my call is so rude , it seems like he doesnu2019t want to entairtain a customer and he just hangUp my call Iu2019m just trying to get an appointment .
    Anne Albrecht
We are only able to make calls to them now but I have gotten great service every timenI have dealt with them. I called today with an unusual problem and the lady wasnknowledgeable and very nice. I wish I had gotten her name!

What a joke! I just want accurate information about my son's social security, its December 10, still haven't received the payment. I was just told another 10 business days! You all should be ashamed of yourselves. One would think supervisors would monitor the representatives to assure that they are giving correct information. It's a nightmare! I'm grateful that I'm not desperate for money but that's not the point! Fed up

Had an appointment i missed because of a mix up with a change of address. So when i came to the office today a man named Mr. Tucker helped me. He was very nice and courteous. If everyone that worked in this office had his attitude there may not be so many bad reviews. While he was dealing with me he also helped co workers and kept a smile on his face while multi-tasking. He gets 5 stars ud83cudf1f but unfortunately the rest of the people there could be a little more courteous towards the people that come in. ESPECIALLY thesecurity guard.
