My rating is actually a zero! The person I spoke to hung up on me and I have been trying to get through for the pass 30 mins, but nobody is picking up. I submitted my application online, I completed all of it and wanted to go back to edit a section before I submitted it for processing. But, someone already started processing it. So, then I get a letter in the mail stating what I needed to do, only to find that some of the documents were addressed to me, but also somone else with the same first name. The documents the do not belong to me have this person full social, date of birth, address and phone number! Now if this person received my personal information I am going to be highly...highly upset!

Customer service is horrible. If you call the office be prepared to be on hold for an hour or more. Going into the office is null and void if you don't have an appointment. I have been calling for three days now and being ran around in circles. It's all a big headache

On hold for over 40 minutes and I finally got to talk to a person for the first time and I've been trying to get someone every day for over a week. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I hope he always gets blue cheese on accident instead of ranch. May his card always be declined. Let his shoes always be two sizes too small. I hope his dog hates him when he gets home.

When you call these people they are not very helpful at all. They're rude and very condescending. Trying to get an appointment is very difficult. They will transfer you to someone and tell you to leave a message and the phone will continuously ring without anyone or any voicemail answering. Do better you are playing games with peoples' lives.

Itu2019s difficult to reach them by phone unless you have a direct line and even then it doesnu2019t always work. If you can get an appointment thatu2019s good. I struggled with the online application and needed help. I didnu2019t have an appointment, since I got frustrated with phone tag. I waited more than an hour, and was seen by a man who was rude to me for being a veteran and was gonna make me come back. The supervisor allowed the case worker assigned to me to see me. She filed a new application because she closed mine yesterday. She was nice and I felt at ease with her. The chairs are hard and when your sitting there for that long itu2019s painful. Most of my issues are physically disabling, so I was down the rest of the night in pain. But at least its filed.

When you get off the elevator you're greeted with two employees that act like drill sergeants like you just arrived at boot camp. They go through their script of what's expected from you and what happens if their expectations are not met. Then they let you walk into the office. So already they start things off bad.nnThe manager is abrasive and down right mean. I get that you have to be strong to be a manager but there is a fine line between being a strong manager and being down right rude. I wonder why people with no customer service skills seek jobs in customer service.nnThe wait time isn't bad although they may route you to someone in a hallway. Most of the workers are nice but not very efficient. They loose paperwork and you have to stay on them to follow through to even file your paperwork. So make copies of anything you give to them. I'm glad that some of the workers are nice but I'd rather have nice AND efficient any day!

I sent a photo copy of both sides of my drivers license a printed out copy of page 5 of the social security replacement card application and original copies of my birth certificate and my child's birth certificate, as I was trying to get replacement cards for both of us. They sent everything back with a staple mentioning not to send a COPY of documents. I need my identification on me at all times!!! Moreover, why would you put holes in the birth certificates?? I am beyond upset.

Waited the 15 min for answer. Got a representative named Luis. What a great man!!! He was kind, understanding and helpful. NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. Anyone getting him on the line will be more than happy with the treatment that is received. There should be more like this man.

I had to wait 1-1/2 hours to be seen but then had the most pleasant and efficient administrator took care of me. She had a smile on her face and was helpful in answering several questions that I had. Thank you Lake Mary office. If it wasn't for the long wait, they would have received all 5 stars.

I'm pretty sure this location only handles cases regarding Social Security Income and Social Security Benefits. All other needs are directed to the Orlando office. They close early on Wednesday.

It is a very good place for your Government needs.

They are not a full service social security office. If you recently got married or simply just need to change your name, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! They cannot help you. You have to go to the main social security office locatedn5520 Gatlin Ave Orlando FL 32812nnAlso this office DOES NOT allow you to bring in food, bottle water, your phone must be on silent, and yes they are very strict on these rules( they don't care if you have kids). They do have plenty of free parking and the office is on the second floor.

You can call State Representative Stephanie Murphy's office (Washington DC, Winter Park, and Sanford locations all at the same phone number) if you can't get satisfaction from this poorly run, unskilled branch. They were on the case to fix the problems the same day I called. They will contact the congressional people who then contact this SS office for you and investigate and fix the problems on your behalf, free of charge. Senator Marco Rubio's (R) office, as well as Senator Bill Nelson's (D) office, offer the the same opportunities to intervene on your behalf. Additionally, Legal Services of Mid-Florida handle Social Security issues for many cases as well, and you can contact them online. If this satellite branch didn't make so many mistakes in the first place, only to have equally inept supervisors make it worse when they attempt to fix them or ignore them, the office wouldn't be so jammed in the hallway with people who are there repeatedly for the same issues. They make it seem as if they are fixing your problem when you visit, but only later on do you get letters or screwed up payments that don't coincide with what you were told would happen. Just know that there are these people (above) whose job it is to fix stuff like this for thei constituents, regardless of your voting status. i have met so many frustrated people in the hallway there who shared their stories that I felt compelled to share with others how I myself finally fixed my problems with this office.

Don NOT do what the web site says. You will waste your time like I did. The Lake Mary office does NOT process social security card changes. There is no place in Seminole County that does. You have to go to the Orange County office on Gatlin Ave.

This staff handles cases the way they want and not always according to federal rules. You can get frustrated just keep coming back and waiting again and again to resolve the same issues.

The woman who was called to window to verify my appointment was very rude. She had attitude and god forbid I wasn't Spanish. The gentleman at window number 1 was the only one I would see if I have to go back! I hope I need to help her somewhere someday!!!
