For shame on their service..... Why can ANYONE answer in your office? As a tax payer, I am taxed for Government services, so I, along with all citizens are your employers. You have a public office that does not service OR serve the public. My wife filed for a new SS card after her name change and our paperwork was sent back claiming the supporting document (drivers license zoomed to 400% in color) was not an original and needs to be notarized by the custodian of records? What custodian??? For the license? You require citizens to send you the original driver's license and either not drive or drive illegally on the streets? I wonder if such directive would be deemed illegal on a discussion between a customer and ANY private agency in front of a circuit Court Judge. My wife waited 7 months for the court to finalize her name change, after we provided EVERY piece of requested paperwork TWICE because they lost some parts, we need the card so she can get a new passport and be able to see her disabled and alone mother in law back at my birth country .....For shame that US citizens pay your salaries. I dare you to PLEASE reply to this. Everyone knows you have my number and email but you seem to use it to get more money from all of us....

Was very impressed with the kindness and helpfulness of the woman I spoke to today. She was patient and informative. Working from home under these current conditions cannot be easy. Especially with their limited access to tools and information. Keep up the good work.

Waited 45 minutes to be greeted by rude woman who wasnu2019t willing to help me in any way. Told me I have to send my ID in the mail and when I asked if I can bring it to the nearby office she got even more upset and refused to speak any further. When I asked for her name she hung up on me. There should not be people like this working in a government facility.

As others have mentioned, this SSA office is extremely bad. If you call, no one will answer. If they answer, they will ask you to hold. If you hold long enough, sooner or later they will hang up. They basically do not help anyone. What's the point of paying them a salary? Will anyone right this ship? Doubt it...

The person who answered the call today was very rude, barely let me speak, and hung up the phone before I could say goodbye. I wanted to ask more questions but the lady seemed so rushed she just hung up as fast as she could.

The people who give assistance on the phone, do not help at all. We were waiting more if 30 minutes to be transferred and not solve our problem.

The lady who answered Friday July 2nd at 9am was the rudest individual. I tried to explain SSO required two ID which my children do not have. She kept telling me I must mail in their original birth certificates but could not tell me what to do for a second IDs. The website clearly said I must go in person. She put me on hold and did not respond.

Today I had an appointment at 11:00 A.M. and arrived and checked in at approximately 10:50. I was called to check in about an hour later. I waited another hour and asked the security guard about the delay for people who had made appointments. He took my name and did make an inquiry as to the delay and told me that they were swamped!!! No idea when I would be called. I had to leave for work! I wanted to make another appointment, but was told it is better to just show up! My appointment was made about 2 months ago and I even received recorded reminders the night before. My advise, donu2019t waste time scheduling in advance as you will sit and wait as though you never had an appointment. My appt. Was scheduled by an official the day I walked in and I believed that it would take precedence over walk-ins. Be prepared to sit.

Wasn't looking forward to the process of working with Social Security to set up my retirement. We've all heard the nightmare stories... But was happily surprised how great of an experience I had. When I called the office in Boca to set an appointment the gentleman was very nice and asked many questions so that he would be able to assign me to the correct person for my appointment, which was going to be a telephone conversation.nnWas called on the appointment date at the exact time that was set up. Spoke with Janeria and she was so pleasant and helpful. With being a widow, I was confused on being able to take my husband's Social Security since it was at a higher rate, and she explained everything to me. After the conversation on the phone, all I had to do was go into the office the next day and show them my original marriage certificate for them to copy. When I got into the office, with the set appointment if just took a few minutes and the gentleman was ready with all of the documentation for me to review and to make a copy of the certificate. Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding to assist me with this process.

Rude! The information they gave about obtaining a ssn was completely incorrect. She was terribly rude, shouted an answer to my question and hung up! I didn't understand the bad attitude. I phoned back several times hoping to speak with someone else, but they keep disconnecting the line. I then phoned the Margate office and received excellent service and information.

Rude woman answered the phone and was completely unhelpful. I was unable to explain my situation before she abruptly cut me off. Very frustrated with the entire process.

Most efficiently run Social Security Office Iu2019ve been in. I was in and out within twenty minutes, without an appointment! Personnel were professional with a good sense of humor. Outdoor/indoor signage could not have been more clear as to office location. You donu2019t need to park on the fifth floor to get to the office u2018cuz youu2019ll still need to use the elevator for the ground floor.

I have had to go into this office several times. First of all, the 800 number tells you to make an appointment. You get to this office, and they say you don't have an appointment! The staff are consistently snippy (if you don't like your job - why are you there??) and rude. The location is ridiculous - the only nearby parking is 30 minutes, which is a joke at this location. Expect to be there a minimum of TWO HOURS. Very disappointed that my tax dollars are supporting such an inefficient operation.

This office is very well run and the people that work there are very nice and very knowledgeable and helpful. The woman who helped me with my case was Ms. Wright, a lovely person. She explained everything to me very clearly and was friendly and nice about everything. She's an asset to the Social Security Administration. I was there on May 31, '20 and saw her in the late afternoon.

Very efficient staff and courteous. I went in for my Medicare application without an appointment. Was in and out in less than 10 min. Finding parking lot maybe little difficult, but if you follow signs not a big deal.I had been to this place 3 times and each time I had good experience.

After waiting over an hour, I was told to come back at another time to complete my request as they were too busy to accommodate me that day. I had called social security the day before and was advised to visit the Boca office personally. The clerk at the Boca office was very rude and no help. I was dismissed and had to set up an appointment 2 months from now. The clerk would not allow me to explain why I was there, but only wanted me to come back when they were not as busy. Having experienced this office several times I know that they are always busy with long waits and all she wanted me to do is leave her window. If I could give no stars I would.

I love a pleasant surprise, and today I got one. Visiting the Social Security office was actually an experience in efficiency. Yes it is intimidating to go there, and it's almost comical that it is intimidating. However, the process that they have for moving people through is sufficient and if one does not fight that system one will enjoy expedient service. I couldn't be happier as long as they did everything right.

Went to SSA on behalf of our client. My first impression of SSA, was the security officers. They were courteous, polite to everyone, always offering help and keeping order in the lobby.nThe lady, L, who provided me information needed for our office, was professional and did the best she could. Very pleased! Thank you. I appreciate it.
