They actually answer their phone unlike the other one in the county to start with. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. The appointment itself took a whole five minutes. Everyone was pleasant from the guard at the door, to the person who actually assisted us. We could not believe how great the experience was, I was expecting it to be a hassle but it absolutely was not. Thank you.

DO NOT SEND ID CARDS TO THESE CLOWNS! Although Covid protocols are over, they still require you to send all your identification to get your children's SSN cards. Well, the supervisor named Bill (who wouldn't give last name) wasn't a very pleasant man, said he stuffed our passports and military ID in a small envelope, well, it all fell apart while getting mailed through USPS. A month later, the IDs are lost, unknown who stole them, they fell out or what. Sadly, being government employees, there is not concern or care for customers and they are not held accountable for irresponsible decisions.

I've been calling since January 3 2022 for important papers to file for my autistic grandson on ssi. They have answered the phone and said the papers are in the mail. To date two and half months later I still have not received it. They stopped his ssi in January and this is hurting him drastically.

I've been trying to reach this location in person and via phone since March of 2021 and here I am in February 2022 still with no luck. The Office has been closed in person and I am presently writing this review while literally on hold with this office for over 1 hour and 32 minutes now. I need a replacement card for my son and don't feel comfortable mailing his original birth certificate to their main location as per the physical application mail in process. There is absolutely no reason as to why I should even have to consider that route when there is a location less than 5 miles from me. How long are these businesses, governmental or not, going to use COVID as an excuse towards the continuation of short staffing, hire freezes and squeezing their budgets to maintain the filthy wealth within their highest of their higher ups??? It's abhorrent to us all! They will let the phone ring for the entirety of their business hours and won't answer!

Sent them a request to receive my children's ss cards, with applications. They separated my information from my applications and sent my children's personal info plus my driver's license, to someone an hour north and then had the gall to send me a letter telling me that I had to REFILL OUT TWO NEW APPLICATIONS and then proceeded to do nothing about their screw up. Instead, they told me to resend, STILL without actually sending my childrens' ss cards to me. Luckily the lady that received my things was an honest enough person to try and contact them first (got chewed out and blame pushed off), but then find me to be able to send me my things. This kind of half-effort out of government agencies without having to face repercussions, is why most elementary school students could perform better at their jobs and be more efficient than these half-wits. And get this, you aren't allowed to sue if they are the reason your identity gets stolen!

Call to set up appointment which is not available even though on phone recording says is available. Lady is rude and hangs up without giving any answer to what can be sent in besides my license. No reason to be closed to the public. Plenty of safety protocols that can be put in place.

I recently got married and sent my ss5 form, a copy of my marriage licence and a copy of my drivers license. I went to DMV and they said my name does not exist so they could not give me a new drivers license. Which I called ss that day because I had received my receipt in the mail but it said my mom's name with me new last name. When I got the new ss it was my mom's social and her name with my new last name. Cocoa ss managed to changed my mom's name and not mine. Which I keep getting told from the officemistskes happenthis is taken should not of happenEd when I sent my info not my moms. Spoke to the supervisor Mr. Laws today and he seemed to not care that if this got into the wrong hands that my mom could have been hurt by this. He just saidmistakes happenmy mom's name should of never been changed. Only my name, I sent my info and I needed my new ss with my name before the new year and since they changed my mom's name instead of mine I will not get me new card until after the new year. Way to Cocoa to the Cocoa social security office for messing up a name that was not sent to you. What was the point of me sending any papers if you guys were just going to change whatever name you wanted. I was even asked if my ss and mom's ss were similar. Not even close thenot asked if my mom sent for a new ss. No, she did not your guys did this.

Small satellite office with 15 or so windows. Staff here are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable with regard to all matters Social security and Medicare.nnPlease come prepared with proper ID'S and documents as this little office does a tremendous volume of business. Turn down your volume on the cellphone, leave all foods and beverages outside. nYou are expected to maintain calm and quiet demeanor inside the building. Children are welcome here but sometimes the Line progress slowly. If you have the ability, the kids will be much happier at home. These are good and kind people here. They try very very hard to serve you and do their best for you. Many times, your reasons to visit the office is very stressfull and or sad. Please make allowances for others visiting at the same time as you.nnWednesdays are short days for them 8am to noon. Other weekdays are 8am to 4 pm.

The wait is ridiculously long. The security guard encourages people to leave and come back another day. The monitor that shows the current numbers being called has been broken for some time. And this particular office is severely understaffed. It took me 2 and a half hours to be seen because it seems everyone takes lunch at the same time instead of rotating. I was unable to accomplish anything at all and was given an appointment for a month out because the woman said they only have one person who deals with my particular issue, which I find absurd. All in all I hate going to this office, it's always a hassle.

After spending nearly an hour waiting to speak to someone from the National office, i finally got to speak to a human. She found out with my problem was but was unable to figure out how ti fix it. She placed me on hold and then I was disconnected.nI then called the local office, got to Mr. Goodman within minutes. I explained my experience to him and within minutes more, he had corrected the problem. This SSA office is on their game. Good work.

Like all of these types of places with government workers (I work for the state myself) you get the people who love their job and don't mind helping people and then you get the ones who hate their job and make sure everyone knows it. Unfortunately the gentleman that helped us yesterday left a bit to be desired. We asked for a child's social security card. We had the needed documentation. He then started saying we could only have the card if we have custody of the child . Hmmmm... don't remember any laws saying that (we have 50/50 but that's not the point) I asked what law it was and what exactly it states and he left to go talk to his supervisor and suddenly got the ok to push it through. Imagine that. Some people have such little power they go overboard on what power they have.

I arrived at 2:53pm on 1/4/18. I was done at 3:30pm on the dot. It was busy and packed when I arrived and there was only 2 parking spots left. The security guard was friendly and the staff were quick. As long as you have everything ready, your time will be pleasant. If you decide to go, arrive at 3:15pm. It is less packed around that time and seating is more available.

Some of the staff is great other members I wouldn't want answering a phone at the jail. Some of the people who work here are amazing others not so much. My biggest beef with them is their rules can not be understood and they change them according to the day of the week. If your septembernWages dont count for your check until November then November's wages shouldn't count until January but no this month they are counting September and November for November's check. So amazing that they can change the rules anytime they want and there is nothing anyone can do about it. They get to screw people over and all we can do is bend over and take it up the tail pipe.nI absolutely love being able to follow the rules and still get screwed over

There's this dark hair Spanish lady on boothCthat makes the experience awful. I saw a previous individual that started to get loud at her and wondered why, now I undestand. She acts nice, but in fact she tries to make the experience awful by posting questions about any paperwork that doesn't match exactly to the letter. All I needed was a replacement of my worn out SS card. I should have laminated to avoid this headache.

All I needed was a replacement card. I arrived at 9:25 on a Tuesday, and was in and out of there in 5min, WOW! Oh and security and staff were super friendly!

Many, many thanks to Ms. Patton who went the extra mile to see that I received the retirement benefits that I had decided upon that were almost diverted because of an error made by a phone service SS representative. Ms Patton I cannot thank you enough, you have enhanced my retirement years 10 fold, God Bless.

What is there not to like about spending that much of your time to do something. Then, when your finally done, having a feeling like you just wasted your time & you feel like you need a shower.
