I had an appointment at SS in Clearwater. It was so refreshing to be able to call them directly. They answered the phone promptly and gave me an appointment the next day. It was the first time I called this office directly and was treated the nicest that I've ever been treated on the phone. It was also my first time at the Clearwater SS office and the nicest I've ever been treated at any SS office. From the security guard, Mr LaBanca, to the woman who helped me. I left feeling happy and accomplished instead of feeling frustrated. Thank You both for helping me and treating me with such kindness.

This is a clean office. There is ample parking. There are bus routes to get to Drew Street. The people there will help you if you have patience and stay calm. They do not tolerate high drama and there are security officers there to escort any problem people off the premises. If you need their help, approach them in a calm, humble manner and they will help.

They do not care about people!! I am on high flow oxygen since my lung transplant died in 2018 and have been trying to get SSI every since. Some nice people have been making deposits for me paying my bills so that I am not homeless as I must have oxygen equipment and electricity. So yesterday I learned that I have been denied yet again because they say I have resources because of the deposits in my account from the nice people helping but they cannot help anymore due to separation and double expenses. They were helping me until the SSA would help me but the SSA refuses to help a disabled guy on high flow oxygen. All those people out there getting full disability or SSI with nothing really wrong with them and I get refused so shame on you SSA office shame on you.

Trying to change my name because I got married. You'd think it'd be a simple process on the phone unless you are on hold for forty minutes like me. This is ridiculous. I can get a loan faster than this. What a joke.

I donu2019t agree with how all government offices are being handled but I understand, that being said I think they handled my issue very well. I received paperwork that very little time to return to SSI, I called this office and they gave me an appointment the next day to drop off my papers and all is good.

I called the Social Security office asking if they had a copy of a record. Her response was u201cYou want WHAT from us?! We donu2019t keep copies of YOUR records!u201d She was rude, condescending, and zero customer service skills. Saying, u201cno, we donu2019t have that recordu201d would have been fine without the attitude and yelling. Good luck if you ever need to speak to anyone there.

Horrible wait time to speak to a rude and totally unhelpful person. I was trying to get a replacement card and there was a glitch in their online service so I needed to actually do it in person. I was told that they would not make an appointment for that and I needed to send my drivers license into them for about 3-4 weeks. How am I suppose to get to work? Kind of illegal to drive without it.

I've called 3 times to talk to someone, all three times I wait 10 min and the line disconnects. I requested a new social security card online and didn't get an email or message about it being ordered, to submit to an employer for work. I cannot work without the receipt or card.....

I had to make a follow-up call regarding mynhusband's passing since I had not heard from Soc Security. I did not have a long wait, and when the lady came on to take my call, she was most knowledgeable, kind, helpful. It was a very pleasant business experience. She put me at ease about my concerns. Very nice experience.n.

Majority of the Social Security Establishments all have long-wait times. That's inevitable, but This location, will make it easier if any Specific Disabilities that Require True 'One-on-One' care is required, will help with the most of All SSI, SSDI , and Further Questions when coming to the Social Security Administration that one may visit for. Mask Guidelines are Still in place, Vaccinated or not. The New Construction allowing more Appropriate Social Distancing is Fully-Complete. Thus proper distancing between one person, to another and so on have been met by the CDC Guidelines and WHO Requirements.nnStay Safe, Wear a Mask, and Bring a Book and a Good game on One's Phone.n(I suggest making an Appt Online or Via the Phone number. As does cut back the wait Significantly) ud83dude0a Hope this Information has Helped someone, Safe Travels.

Make sure you make an appointment. Canu2019t make one online, doesnu2019t say anywhere online you need an appointment, but when you get to the door they wonu2019t let you in without an appointment. Security guard was rude when questioned why this information wasnu2019t available to us. Absolutely unprofessional.

They never answer I called them multiple times every time I stayed on the phone for longer than 30 minutes , there is just no answer. I was the very first to call I called the second they opened and still no answer.

All offices are closed but we are still supposed to send mail to these closed offices. I sent my W-4V form and 4 weeks later, I received a letter making it clear they haven't received it as yet, to MY financial disadvantage. My questions to seek assurance that this will be rectified only met with irritability. So I have to do it again. Our P.O. and SSA, 2 huge government entities are so unreliable and don't provide service in a timely way.

It was awesome I got there two hours before my schedule and they took me right on in the security guard was the most help person I'd ever met I gave it five stars

I found going to this Social Security office was a pleasure. The security guard was firm in the rules and explained them clearly and stated that these were rules for the safety of all that were in the building. How nice to have the feeling that someone had our backs in these turbulent times. I then explained my problem to a nice young woman with four children (unfortunately I never got her name but just saw the children's photo on her computer screen). She was more than helpful and gave all the information I needed and resolved my problem. How nice to know that these people serving and advising people all day can still be such pleasures to talk to.

If teachers have to be in school teaching then they can open up the social security offices to the public. The phone services are garbage and a simple thing such as changing your name is beyond ridiculous.
    Sylvia Florida
I had heard about the long wait times, so I went prepared with a book. The security guard was pleasant and kept things running smoothly while people waited for their numbers to be called. When it was my turn I was very happy to have such a nice person (Derrell) take care of my case, helping me get things squared away with my Medicare application. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I called the Social Security at the Clearwater office, 2340 Drew St, FL 33765, yesterday 10/9/18 @ time 3:15 PM. They told me that my wait to speak with someone (agent) would be about 45 minutes. So I waited, and waited. The time came to be 3:58, then the telephone and music went off (completely stopped). What's up with this? Do you do this to everyone? This wasn't very nice, what's your opinion Social Security?
    Giselle Croce
No problems with the employees, very efficient & waiting time was short. However, I received a fraud call. Turned it in as directed. Today I got a recorded call again saying it was Social Security. They said my account was suspended but didn't ask for my #. I was told they never call always mail correspondence. Now, I don't know what to do. Please only correspond to me in writing!!!

I have had express better treatment from Clearwater Social Security Office than I have ever had in St Petersburg, Florida Social Security Office.

The associates were very helpful and kind as was the security guard. I just want to say I have a very specific anxiety disorder which limits me drastically and because of this I had been dreading and procrastinating going in there, but the man (working at window 5) that helped me was very understanding. I didn't catch his name but wish I would have. To whoever you were, if you ever see this I just want to say thank you for being so kind and understanding. The world needs more people like you. :)
