Thank god I do not need to come here anytime soon (Hopefully never again). People here are nice, but overall energy in this place is not good.

I've been calling for the appointment since yesterday, but the line is always busy. If you have an online appointment system, that would be excellent!

I recently spoke with three different representatives on three different occasions regarding questions about my social security benefits (Drew, Mr Sparrow & Miss Vasquez). I was extremely pleased with the service I received. They were all very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. It was a very pleasant experience.

I called the main number to get guidance from the operator. I was prepared with a happy and pleasant attitude. Still, her actions were aggressive and rude. Why do we have a SSA that intimidates and insults us? Why, as citizens, do we allow this type of treatment? The SSA has the opportunity to improve, but instead they prefer to bully us.

Upon returning my documents, this office misplaced my marriage license in the envelope which ripped when I opened it. I was told to submit a receipt because I had to pay for a new one and I never heard back..even after certifying the piece of mail. Itu2019s impossible to reach someone consistently over the phone.

The lady that answered the phone was so rude, I didnu2019t even have an answer for what I wanted she hung up

I was courteously and efficiently referred to an agent, Alandra, who handled my inquiry in a thoroughly professional and friendly manner. Alandra and the person who handled the intake and referral to Alandra are a credit to the SSA and earned the gratitude of this citizen. I should add that the SSA's remote/ telephonic procedures are great, particularly during these times. I want to add the following supplement to the foregoing: we had a followup with Ms. Hernandez from this office. She could not have been more helpful, nor more cordial and thoughtful. She exceeded any reasonable expectation that we could have had in satisfying our questions and inquiries. Like her colleagues, she is a credit to the Social Security Administration.

Lots of waiting on hold. The people who work here are backlogged. Friendly, but too busy. They ought to have more workers. Mrs. Booker and another woman (unknown name) have been extremely helpful nonetheless.

The staff member that I spoke to was super rude. Service was bad as soon as I tried to explain the situation, she kept cutting me off. It would be more ideal to have workers that know how to speak to people that are calling to get a service from this agency.

I was shuffled around from window to window during my visit today but Iu2019m happy I finally ended up at the third window, number two with Jessica. She made my experience at the Stamford Social Security Office a positive one. Jessica was very professional, caring, knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful and patient. She clarified information and answered all of our questions. She treated us with care and made us feel human; unlike the many previous experiences Iu2019ve encountered with other employees at windows at this office. I wish there was more people with the same work ethic, professionalism and level of care that Jessica displayed working at this office.

Clean offices at Landmark Square with nice waiting area with available Purell dispenser and tissues. Took a number and was called within 15 minutes. Pleasant congenial staff made it easy for me to fix website registration for online statements needed for retirement planning. Even my call to the national toll-free hotline was answered within 2-4 minutes by a pleasant representative. I was surprised as to how efficient this Federal agency is! Now if only our City and CT state agencies ran this way it would be incredible.

Horrible experience today. The lack of respect for some of the workers there is unbelievable. To top it off I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was just as bad as the worker. The worker and the supervisor was by all means not people friendly and should not hold a position such as customer service. Todayu2019s experience deserves no stars. Horrible horrible experience. Rude rude rude.

Upsetting to say the least. Worked all my life, paid in my taxes and now retiring - what do I get from thenice ladywho answers thehelpphone at Stamford SSA? Nothing but rudeness and BAD attitude. I was polite, spoke clearly and had a couple of legitimate questions. Apparently you are only allowed one question since she spat out her answer and hung up on me before I could even ask the second! They only work 9:00 to 12:00 today - must be rough after 30+ days of no work (Govt shutdown). I am very frustrated, angry and depressed that after working 40+ years this is what I'm going to have to deal with. Wow!

Terrible phone support during COVID period, excuses on top of excuses.

I want to begin my review on a positive note. The representative that worked with me went above and beyond to assist me with my father's application for SSD. The lady helped me make an appointment for another branch which, is not something they can do? The neighboring representative kept insisting that she was doing too much to assist me. Apparently, SSA representatives cannot assist with making appointments for a branch (Bridgeport) especially when it is hard to get in contact with them. I had no other choice but to obtain information from the Stamford branch outside of the SSA.gov website. I understand that SSA is a government agency however, let us not forget that it's an agency servicing PEOPLE. I was appalled to hear how apathetic the neighboring representative was to a situation that has taken a toll on my family. SSA, please train your employees to be more professional in customer facing. Thank you.

Lady that answers the phone is very rude and directs the call without hearing the issue in detail and nobody picks up the phone at Stamford extension and is always on voice mail. Very poor services!!

Awful attitude from the lady in the window! She seemed so upset, not even a good morning or hello! People like that shouldn't be working with public. When I left that place I felt bad, she didn't even let me talk.

Stuff is very friendly, I was prepared to stay in a line for hours as it was about 20 people before me, but it took me 25 minutes overall. Awesome
