I have talked to this office 3 times over the last several months. Each time, I was given prompt, courteous service. The Fort Collins office is excellent and always my first call when there is an issue.
    Eva Ray
So if I could give the general social security phone line a review it would be zero but when I finally got through to someone at the Fort Collins office it was amazing. The woman I spoke with was helpful and friendly and got me all the information I needed.

I am extremely impressed with the social security department in Fort Collins. I've been respected, listened to, and taken care of. I have no complaints at all! Thank you very much.
    Josh Griffin
I have interacted with this office via telephone and in person a few times. The agents that have helped me are very kind and genuinely care about the Social Security recipients they speak with. I could not ask for better service. Thank you for helping me. ud83dude0a

The staff was really nice and friendly and helped me out in the best way possible. I called and waited 10 minutes to get an appointment. It was really quick and my appointment is at the best time

Love when socail security decides to stop your benifits. You try to go in right away but it doesn't matter because they no longer do walk in apointments due to covid. To add to it, it takes 3 days for anyone to answer a phone for the Fort Collins department. She tells me it's my fault for not submitting the forum and that I would have recieved a warning letter at least 3 times. She does this until she realizes their error. My sons address wasn't changed when I updated mine with them over the phone last year. Just wow. Long story short I have to mail in a forum saying I'm still not remaried and still have my dependent and that it will take 2-4 weeks to be recieved in the mail. The lady on the phone said my situation still isn't considered a emergency and I might want to expidite my letter. Gota love the government.

I have called 3 times now. The first time, the lady who spoke to me referred me to a web page that did not have the application she stated that I needed. The next two times I called, I waited on hold for 15 minutes each time (just like the first call) and when a representative finally got on the line, they immediately hung up on me. I am now on hold for the fourth time.nUnacceptable.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The website says you need multiple forms of ID and they only needed one, which was nice. My waiting time was probably around 30 minutes, but once I got to the window I was out the door within just a couple of minutes. The young man who assisted me was happy, pleasant, and informative. He even let me know that Iu2019d need to wait a full 24 hours to go to the DMV to update my name on my license!

I waited on hold for over 2 hours to talk to the main social security office only to be told to call the local office. I was speaking to someone who then hung up on me. She was beyond rude and disrespectful to begin with. The way things are in the world right now we need compassion and understanding not rude, snotty people.

Went to SS in Fort Collins to get a replacement Social Security card for my elderly Mom. I did not have enough documentation which I suspected. There is no info. desk to ask questions before you wait 2-3 hours to see an employee. The armed guard there doesn't answer SS questions. The young man there is useless. No greeting, no smile, not much of anything. I need to go back again, unfortunately, and he even told me brusquely I couldn't make an appointment next time due to some insane requirement. I half expected a difficult time being a government office and I got more than I bargained for. Please try to do your business online if possible. I couldn't, unfortunately.

After reading some reviews I was hesitant of going in, but my experience went great. I am a DACA recipient so I was nervous and didn't know if I had all the paperwork needed to get a replacement card so I took everything I might've needed. I walked in at 11:08am and was out by 11:20am! 12 minutes! Turns out all I needed was my work authorization card and license. Best experience ever and staff I worked with was friendly.

Can't get through on the phone. I keep getting put on hold to wait for the next agent and then the line beeps and hangs up. Based on other comments it seems like there has been consistent issues with the employees operating the phones. Maybe it's time to hire people who can handle their job description.
    Cheryl Lang
My call was answered in a timely fashion, however the person I spoke with was rude from the beginning. She talked in circles and never really answered my question. When I said I was confused and felt like we were talking in circles shr hung up on me.
    Allison Howell
Horrible customer service on the phone. The woman I talked to was incredibly rude then hung up on me after I was very polite and she didn't even try to help me at all. They absolutely need to hire nicer, more helpful people.
    Judith Christie
By phone-no option to address my need. Dialed O, was told I would have to wait 45! Yes forty-five minutes!!! I have access to a computer. What about people who have NO ACCESS TO A COMPUTER?!?! And the computer website is NOT user friendly. HHS NEEDS ADEQUATE FUNDING. After 30 years of Republican federal lawmakers this is what we get. They want to destroy any FDR policies that they can. Seems they are doing just that.

I found San Francisco in Fort Collins. The social was a swanky joint, dimly lit with hanging filament bulbs and sporting old school decor. We happened to make it in right during their Social Hour which meant discounted apps and drinks.nnOur waitress, Molly, was awesome! She made my first drink--tasted like a gin lemonade--and recommended the wine on special which was amazing! We also had the $12 cheese and meat plate which was the perfect snack.nnIf I'm ever back in Fort Collins, I will definitely be back.

After three attempts and hours of waiting on the 1-800 number, only to speak with a rude representative who hung up on me when I told him that he was being rude.
    Bobbijo Hartig
I have called twice the first time the lady was so incredibly rude as I called again today to get information and the same female answered with a nasty attitude problem just like before. She was literally zero help.
    Heather Fellhauer
The worst customer service ever!! The lady I spoke to was rude from the second she answered the phone and literally HUNG UP on me in the middle of the phone call when I was confused!
    Marilyn Gutie
I've been here over 5 times trying to get a replacement card for my son. Every time even with all the documents in hand I've been treated poorly or given the run around. Its ridiculous how they have people with little to no knowledge, and lack of respect working there.
    Contestan Doe
60 people waiting. It's so packed people are forced to wait in the hot hallway and they have one person working a desk calling people up yet they have like 10 windows where employees could be helping people. With 60 people waiting there is no space for a disabled person to even sit.
    Maddy Soto
wish i could give zero stars! i just waited on the phone for 45 minutes for it to ring a few times and it say to call back again later due to the agents being busy! this is BS, do yourself a favor DO NOT CALL or you'll just waste you're time.
    Freedom Palestine
I donu2019t know why they take forever to respond our phone calls! Itu2019s really upsetting.
    Jim M
I've called several times and worked with very helpful people.
    Kayla Y
Gave me a 2 hour wait. Got out within an hour. People were driendly. Just make sure you have A VAILD ID and you'll be fine.
    Tara Whelan
They just really need to have more staff at the Windows. Every time I go in they only have 2 or maybe 3 windows open if we're lucky. I don't understand why they have so many, they never use them .
    Buday Falkinburg
I have called 10 times now and keep getting disconnected. It is infuriating to make any updates!!!
    Lee Ligon
I have found the Fort Collins Social Security office to be efficient, caring, and very helpful (unlike the national phone line). My thanks in particular to Carolyn.
    Jason Metzler
Typical. Unhelpful red tape. Makes me feel like we are living in a third world country. Iu2019m sure some shady payment under the table would move things along.
    Sara Koch
I've been hung up on 4 times after waiting the normal 15-17 minutes on hold. This gets truly frustrating. I've also emailed support with no response! Unhappy with their customer service response team.
