I had heard all the horror stories about coming to the SS office in person, but I had to get a new card to replace the one I had misplaced. I made the appointment and came in and was able to talk to a representative named Alejandra. She was awesome! Super helpful, very informative, wonderful demeanor, and I got my replacement in literally 5 minutes. I know this covid garbage makes it hard to get through on the phone but once you get inside and are fortunate enough to get Alejandra, you will see what I mean.

Polite security guards and friendly staff, good covid health measures. Only downside to going it the wait times, but that's to be expected just like DMV. If you're patient your experience should be straight forward.

Worst service, would give 0 stars if I could. Called to make an appointment and FINALLY got through to a real person who told me I couldn't make an appointment because appointments are not needed in April. I show up April 4th with no appointment and they won't allow me inside because I need an appointment. I told them what I was told on the phone and their reply wasya well we don't know when in April people can come in without appointments, but it's not now, it might be tomorrow or a couple weeks, but as of now you need an appointment. So unorganized and unprofessional, frustrating and unpleasant to deal with. If you can go ANYWHERE else I would advise you to do that because this office is full of incompetent people who don't know how or don't want to do their jobs.

Horrible service! If I could give one star I would. We went in person to the office and they say that we must call to make an appointment; however, when we call weu2019re put on hold for hours at a time for the call to end up disconnected. The one time I was able to get a hold of them the lady was rude and did not answer any of my questions. How are we supposed to get an appointment when they DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!

So hard to talk to someone on the phone. So frustrating. Fresno county they answered right away, unfortunately I now live in Tulare and need to call this office. They need new workers that actually answer the phone!!

I went in on a Friday afternoon to apply for a new social security card/ name change. I waited maybe 25-30 minutes and the actual process only took a few minutes. The man that helped me was very nice. After I left I realized that there was information on my paperwork that I wanted to change, so I went back in and the same man helped me take care of that very quickly. I wanted to leave a review because of all of the bad reviews I have read and my experience there was very good.

Spent a good hour and a half waiting and then another 15 minutes being helped by two different clerks. I came expecting a long wait so I wasn't overwhelmed. I can see why other posts were only one or two stars. Security was pleasant and helpful! Both clerks were professionally helpful. Friday noonish, parking was plenty as other times I have seen it full. It does help to make an appointment!!! Your wait time would more than likely be less.

If this office is not open, please do everyone a favor and update hours. This was not a close drive and it is having multiple people come over here and the office is not even open to the public!!

SSI Office should investigate payee's better. Some of them just want to support their drug addict boyfriends then support their adult disable child, as well keep them in an abandon apartment while they are in a warm house sleeping and eating comfortable. I hope she reads this. Sick Mother!

I came here for social security card replacement. The wait time was about 10-20 mins which is not that long i think. J.Belcher was the one who helped me renew my SS card. He was AWESOME, professional, and fast on interviewing me. I didn't feel any hassle coming to this place.

Bad service. Security guard with his fake badge is on a power trip. Probably over compensating for his small stature. Nosy receptionist asking questions that are none of her business. Overall bad experience. The only professional there was the manager.

Obstructionists work at this office. Social services must be run by the mob, as they forced me into 5 months of unemployment to get food stamps/Obamacare (which I will pay for with my house when I sell it) after a year without a job which gave me a payment despite being hired four times. I bawled like a baby in the interview, have a father/brother who commited suicide, am 59 and hopelessly alone and realize my options are few...DENIED. Torn rotator cuff on right, fractured wrist on left. DENIED. You will find the healthiest drug/alcohol addicts in the USA right here in Visalia. Everyday is Saturday other than stealing anything not tied down on their way to the liquor store or park to get plastered. It's a cull of sorts. Suicide becomes an option when living in 1st world becomes literally impossible, and these people know it. 400 billion dollars were paid to attorneys out of SS funds in four years 2009-2012. It's a racket.
