Got there super early before they even opened the doors and got in line! Once I was inside I got to go straight to a window and get my stuff take care of. Friendly and helpful staff. I suggest you arrive early or donu2019t be upset if you have to wait to be seen.

People seem to be incompetent. They lost my file for a new SSN for my wife. Every time I called they said to call again in 2 weeks. Lol.

Thank you to Oswaldo who was able to get my needs done in a matter of minutes while I was waiting for 5-6 MONTHS to get my replacement card !:)nhe made it SO easy! not such a thank you to whoever shredded my original copy of my marriage certificate as well!! Whether you guys think it was a copy or not (it was from Jacksonville , Florida) from ANYONE , you should NOT shred ANYTHING your customers mail you! could have just sent it back and we could have called to clarify! I followed 4 peopleu2019s different instructions and got my stuff mailed back, nothing in the mail, not even a REASON as to why I didnu2019t get my social security card in the mail. I had to call 2 months later and they told me it should be coming soon. Another month later to find out that they shredded it and my application was denied . How was I supposed to know that ? Anyways , JOB WELL DONE OSWALDO!

I have called five times because I need to change my name in order for all my legal documents to match. The staff that picks up the calls, just donu2019t care about answering any questions. We could blame it to COVID, but I donu2019t think we can continue blaming it to excuse bad customers service or not doing our job.

Eduardo is the only helpful person here. Helped renew my card over the phone in 10 minutes! Everyone else was so unhelpful, especially during COVID 19. Spent hours on hold with everyone else. If I could put his extension on here I would. When in doubt ask for him, super helpful, very kind, and very attentive and responsive to any questions I had.

This is more a review of the process to get a replacement card, not just this office. I signed up for an account online after being led to believe I could get a replacement card that way. I knew it wouldn't be instantaneous, but after signing up for an account and the Social Security Administration verifying your info, I was assured by their website it could be done. I did all that was asked including signing up for enhanced security and ended up wasting a lot of time. The Social Security Administration knows who I am, I get their statements mailed to me regularly and I've been at the same address for 25+ years.nGetting an appointment by trying waiting on the phone is the second huge waste of time so I take a day off work and stop in this morning with EVERYTHING, just in case.nBirth certificate, DD-214, one of the statements they recently mailed me, Utility bill, etc. All this so I can get arealdriver's license without federal restrictions (in other words useless for anything except driving within California). I get my turn in less than an hour and the guy behind the glass wants nothing more than the driver's license that's no good for ID anywhere else. Now I have a new Social Security card on the way that will be used to replace the CDL with restrictions because I didn't have a Social Security card with me when I renewed. Anyone else see the irony and problem with this???

Yes, social security office can mean a wait. Get over it, the world doesn't revolve around you. There is a lot of people that need help.nMy experience was the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and assertive. I got the information I went for, plus some info I didn't know I needed.nAlso the online service was assistive, and easy to use.

Can't believe you have to deal with this place. Not enough staff, some people are knowledgeable sure.... but they don't even have people there everyday for disability for instance. I came here with my partner to help him sign up, blondie in the window giving everyone the stank eye, PLUS! the place is so poorly set up for people with walkers/wheelchairs, the government sure can plan a place! I like how you just have to use the self service kiosk and do someone's job for them...

When you go and sign all kinds of paperwork that is necessary for them to process something, donu2019t expect it to be filed in the computer to be activated within 24 hours according to what they tell you. Personal experience, if the agent excepting the paperwork from you does not feel it is a necessity, they donu2019t have to file it in the computer.nThe day the Woolsey fire broke out, I had moved into Ventura. I took my 86-year-old Parent into their office as per Their Requirement in order to do a change of address, and resign ALL the necessary documents they require for me to handle her legal and financial affairs.nThey would not except the power of attorney that is been on file with SS in another state for years. Isnu2019t SS supposed to be federal nationwide? CA will not except a POA. Itu2019s a good thing full on Alzheimeru2019s hasnu2019t sat in.nMedicare is through SS. Since they did not file any of the documents I can only take her to an ER in Ventura. Four times over the holiday we visited the ER because doctors and then terret county will not except insurance that was issued in LA County. Why did the agent not input the documents she had my mother sign, and why did that agent not put through a change of address so my parent would be able to use her MEDICARE

On phone on hold for 32 minutes and counting- just to make an appointment.....wonder if it wouldn't be more effective to have an option online to make appointments.n34 minutesn37 minutesnAt 66 years old....my time is running out....and spending it on hold is not my idea of the Golden Years!!n40 minutes....n46 minutesnJust can't wait any longer- what a pity...49 minutes +
