Looks like SSA is broken. I was on call waiting for someone to schedule an appointment using 800 number for more than 3 hours but no one come to help with that. then tried again for 2 hours but no luck. Then tried local office number about 10 times but all the time it sounds beeps engage sound. Then drove to local office and security guard said they take only by appointment. I told him I can't get to phone and can I have appointment schedule at the office and been said they don't schedule at office and I have to call to make appointment. But there is no way to get someone on phone to schedule an appointment for new ssn card. System is total broken :(

What's going on? The number is apparently not for social security anymore? Is the office closed? After tons of confusion with my claim I got a letter that I called to ask about and I got everything fromthe office is closedto recordings that clearly aren't social security. It's a nightmare!

What is going on with their phone number? Has somebody hacked this and given the phone number of some telemarketing company instead?nnIf you call, all you'll get is automated telemarketing messages that ask you to answer questions tosave moneyon this or on that, including car insurance. Lol.

A big thank you to Mr. Lopez and Mrs. Beltran for their courtesy today and their compassion. They were thoughtful, they listened and did exactly what they said they would do. Our call back was timely and we felt like we got our issue resolved. Thank you. Thank you!

The the walk in office to be closed. & NO WAY for us to get proof of income or a award letter the day of to apply for a program for assistance. Is BEYOND Awful! I tried to gwt.i. my online account because my memory issues the questions are too much ND locked out til I get a letter in the mail. Come on guys you know we are disabled! I called she could only mail me a letter and mail time turn around. This is not a timely turn around. And matter to get our award letter you know we apart of low income programs right? That need these letters.nFeedback is better improvement in getting award letter and online access to our account.

After Being given the number to the Thousand Oaks social security office to get help With temporary disability Paul answered my call begin with giving me attitude and repeating himself in a condescending tone after repeatedly asking him for help on how to get temporary disability because of a broken ankle and not being able to work for several months but under a year he continued to repeat himself like I had to stop him and ask him while he continue to interrupt me if he had any information on how to help me then he proceeded to hold the information over my head by asking me u201cdo you want the number do I want or notu201d repeatedly. I come from a background with customer service is your way of life and I know thatu2019s not the same for everyone but being in the position youu2019re supposed to help people with government funds and you really donu2019t care maybe itu2019s not somewhere you should be working.

Great support over the phone. We were able to update the ssn information by dropping the envelope with the documents through the door in the back of the building. Only mistake was that my wife's documents was sent with wrong house number but luckily ups guy delivered correctly after checking with us.

During these difficult times it's always refreshing to have a governmental office be extremely helpful. The Thousand Oaks social security Administration staff has been outstanding and understanding within these stressful periods, especially, Ms Sykora. She literally walked me through filling out online documents and other government forms I needed to complete. They quickly resolved any confusion and expedited important procedures.

Unfortunately, I have to give the office 1 star review. Terrible service, operators are rude, they act like theythey don't know what they are doing, they want you to break law by leaving your license with them for a week and driving without one ,andl on top itof that they want you to leave your important documents under their dooreven late at night whenthe office is closed. I give them 1 star by far

The quickest and easiest time I have ever had while needing to go to a government building. Everyone was nice and friendly. From the moment I entered the building to when exited the parking lot was 8 minutes during lunch time! The hours are a little rough, but what government run office has good hours?

Today I went to SS office and unfortunately had window 1 blonde lady. She was rude and unhelpful.nThey called my number twice but the windows they assigned me to had people at them already.nSo I went to security guy he was ok wait here I was standing in front of window one while the security guy talked to window one the blonde lady.nAnd she is yelling that we called your number three times I said you called my number two times and assigned me to two windows that already had people sitting there.nThe blonde lady at window one had no one sitting there and she didnu2019t want to help me from the beginning. She was a useless and disturbed employee who should be fired.nAs you can see this blonde lady window one has a few complaints against her already.nAnd nothing is done.

At first i thought the wait time was pretty short, but then. I tell this lady i want to file this letter of dire need cause im homeless and have no money for medicine food or shelter and my disability is on the compassionate allowance list. Sbe just is rude and says you cant get any money until your approved. I said i want to file this letter of dire necessity. I put together the paperwork and it took me all night long. She says you dont need all that and i said yes i do. Then she says how are you going to prove your homeless with a snide tone. I said how about an eviction notice how aboht that? Unbeleivable when someone is so down and out and you get a jerk like that who doesnt know there own job and wants to give you a hard time!

The lady on window 1 is a person you don't want to see.nShe is not going to give you appointment.nShe behaves like a queen, and she is not going to help you at all.nI wonder how she gets a job sitting there and abuse her power.nHopefully the gov should investigate and take her out.

Had to go back today the ladie in the first window when I visited last month didn't do anything like recording on the computer that day we visited, luckily we received a paper copy with a dated stamp of the paper we had copied to go into their system then she gave them papers back to a stranger, my wife had to retrieve them, then last week we received a letter that something was wrong, so today I had to go back and try to fix the problem, I requested not to have the blonde lady at the first window, the guy running the place did me justice and had me go to another window it was quite interesting this lady did everything the first lady at window one should have done and fixed all my problems in a matter of about 15 minutes, she also helped me along with the guy in charge to register on to the computer, I left with a feeling of relief, thankyou very much
