This office has rude and lazy employees. I call in to let them know I didn't receive my phone call appointment, the secretary doesn't want to look up at information to see who was supposed to call me. I gave them a couple of days to call me back, phone call never received. So I called back again and tried asking a different lady if she can have them leave me a voicemail because I don't always have a signal. The lady wouldn't stop talking and wouldn't allow me to explain. I asked for a supervisor and she said there isn't one in today. This office doesn't submit paperwork into the system correctly and sometimes not at all.

So horrible. They call the wrong numbers for appointments and instead of giving you an appointment that day they have you reschedule. This is the 4th time they have called the wrong number! They take no action in making any corrections. I get mail with my number on it stating u201cthis is the number we will call you atu201d all lies!!! Horrible service, horrible place, horrible supervisor.

The amount of times Iu2019ve called this office to locate my personal documents that I sent in is ridiculous. I mailed them in a month ago and no one knows where theyu2019re at. Iu2019ve called everyday..sometimes they answer, sometimes they like to keep me on hold for an hour and then hang up. This is honestly so frustrating. San Bernardino Social Security, do better.

The people that work here do not care about helping people. I was yelled at and hung up on because I was asking too many questions. People that work here are horrible. If you have hung up on someone I hope you read this and are ashamed of yourself. You work in a field that makes a difference in peoples lives and you treat them like dirt. Consider a different field!!!!

Getting an appointment was quite hectic. Each time someone picks my call the call ends. I had to call several times before I was finally able to get through. Afterwards, I didn't get a date immediately I was called back after 7 days by SS officer to give me a date to visit. Though, the officer was quite respectful and patient. He worked me through the whole process. Getting to the SS office, the guard was professional and polite. The staff that attended to me was soft spoken and kind too.

The previous ratings are accurate.nnCall wait times are insane. They hung up twice as soon as they picked up the phone, without even answering the call. Once I got through, the lady who answered the phone immediately hung up when I began to speak. Seriously, like 5 seconds into the call.nnMy mother worked at that office for over 30 years, and I never saw anyone behave that way. Despicable behavior. Shame on you guys.

Impossible to make an Appointment - I have called several times a day, complete the prompts and hold. Every time the line rings it either hangs up, or is completely silent.

Ms Copper really think it's okay to hang up on people stereotype people and also using a very bad voice tone talking to me and lied about speaking to her supervisor about rescheduling and appointment and accused me of arguing with her so she can hang up in my face how do you keep a job acting like this to people in your place of work so you go to work and decide to talk and act terrible to people in your place of work

I received a voice message to call for an appointment. I have been calling multiple times a day for three days with long holds and then eventually the system cuts me off. I am beyond frustrated.

No stars wouldu2019ve been more accurate. The white guy that I was speaking to was so rude, didnu2019t let me speak and ended up hanging up on me. Translator was trash. He said not to use long sentences.. I guess it was past his level of comprehension

I've been calling for days to make an appointment or just for information, and after 15 to 20 minutes you can hear noise on the background but they hung up every time

I mailed in all my documents to this Office and was not hearing back from them so I called to follow up.nAnytime someone picks up the call they purposely hang up. Not giving up, I kept trying. Finally this gentleman answers and puts me on hold till the office was closed. Why keep people's documents and play monopoly with them? Is it not a government institution?hmmm!

Contacted SS to find out if I was eligible to collect off my husbands SS. The phone was answered promptly, my questions were answered, the worker was very pleasant & helpful. With all the bad reviews I felt it was important to share my experience. Thank you for your assistance.

I experienced the best customer service ever from outside to inside this building. Security Services were kind and caring to everyone waiting to be serviced. Security was very informative and aware of the needs of its customers questions.nOnce inside the security scanning was quick and the security scanners were polite.nInstructions where to line up were clearly displayed as: Appointment and Walk-in line.nThe staff interviews were neat and precise.nI was impressed and I conducted my business as scheduled on my appointment time and I left the Social Security Administration Office in San Bernardino, CA. well Informed and satisfied with the overall service. The appearance of the grounds and interior of the building was very clean and well kept. A+.nThank you .nL. Covos

Obviously it's not actually a fun place to visit. But I had no appointment, I went on a week day, and I was done in an hour and 15 minutes. All the workers were very friendly and helpful and they were trying hard to get everyone seen before they closed. I needed to change my name on my social security card cause I got married.nYou wait in line to get in. Go through security. Line. Then they ask why you're there and give you a paper to fill out (but you can fill it out ahead of time, print it offline) and then you wait to be called. There is seating. I think it goes much faster to get your name changed than do other things. Oh and they will mail your new card to you two weeks later. Very easy for a goverment place. Make sure to bring proof of your name change, like a marriage certificate, and your ID.

Great customer service. Had to go renew my social and was helped quickly although there was a long line. The staff was friendly and efficient. The only change i would make is more seating for disabled or less able bodied people while waiting, as everyone was standing in line instead of able to use all the seating that was available for some reason? Maybe a number system upon entry so seating is of use?nAnyways thank you for the quick efficient service.

Get there around 7-8am so you get a decent spot in line. They start rearranging the line at about 830 to see who has a simpler request such as new replacement card or scheduled appointment, then you get into a shorter (and FIRST) served line to go inside. I was inside within 15 mins in that particular line, then I had to wait about 10 mins to get called up to give them my info. If you get there early, bring a chair and a friend to be safe. The atmosphere is really stressful. If you have no choice but to get there after they open, make sure youre prepared to be there for about 3 or 4 hours.nnThe first time I went there I showed up around 10am and the line was wrapped around the building, had to be there for 3 hours. Today I got there at 7:30am and there were about 5 people waiting outside. Decided to grab breakfast and came back at 8am. There were about 20 people ahead of me at that point. People start piling in hardcore at 830am.nnSummary: get there early so you only have to spend an hour and a half there instead of spending 3 to 4 hours. It sucks but it's better than suffering in the heat or wasting a beautiful day.nnMy advice: the longest process for this institution is the security check in the beginning, so treat it like the airport. No belt, hats, metal in your pockets, and open your bag (or leave in car/home) to make it faster for the people behind you. If anyone walks through the machine with metal they get a full pat down which slows everything down.nnEmployees: I've been here twice and the people here are decent. They aren't the nicest but also not the rudest, I think they can improve their social skills but I understand that their job is mundane.nnDate visited: January 2020.

Stayed in line for full 3hrs after I was advised by the SSA worker over the phone to go to the local ssa office with a specific document. When I got to the Window to speak with a representative, she told me that's not a document they need. She didn't want to talk to me at all unless I have a right document. Even though I brought the document the SSA worker told me to bring over the phone. I just don't understand how come all of the ignorants from this county ended up working for SSA. This is the second time in two weeks I was waiting for 3 hours in line. You can't make an appointment if you are not doing an initial application. Even if you have an appointment the wait time is 1.5-2 hours

Just talked to an agent and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. When people try to do things the right way, agents like the one I just talked to force people to throw their hands up and just file whatever. I was trying to get a 1099 copy for a senior who passed in 2020. I know the amount she was paid, so am now forced to fudge the gross amount on her taxes because I can't get a 1099 for her. Its sad that they let agents like that represent our elderly population.

7/11/19nHad to come into the office because itu2019s been 3 months after my sons approval and Iu2019m still getting paper checks and need to set direct deposit. All I can say is bring an umbrella and water. Itu2019s hot outside and no AC inside the lobby.nI got to the building at 10:15 by the time I got processed by the metal director and to the 2nd line inside the lobby it was 10:48. Then by 11:20 I got to the window to get officially check in. Itu2019s now 12:20 and still waiting to get called.nn3/30/19nI had a recertification for my son on a Friday at 2pm around 2:15, a u201csupervisoru201d comes out and ask me if itu2019s ok for them to call me on Saturday around 1pm to recertify that way I donu2019t have to wait for another 1hr. I said thatu2019s fine and now here I am Saturday 3/30/19 itu2019s 1:44pm and no phone call!!!! now Iu2019m going to have to take off of work so I can stand out side in the blazing hot sun to be able to talk to someone and hope my kid benefits donu2019t get interrupted. Worst service ever.

First off I tried to make an appointment. When I called it wasan hour and 15 minutesto talk to someone. I said forget that. All just go down. So Monday I'm sure would be busy and Tuesday the same. They are only open till 12pm on Wednesday so I figured that's a good day to go. They will be more on tract to get things done. I get there about 9:45am..i wait in line outside for about 40 min. When you go in you will meet armed security guards..you than walk threw a metal detector. Now a days I'm happy to see armed guards/gun. You than are instructed to get in another line...30 min in that line. You see an employee and tell him why you are there. You are than given a number. My number was like A144 and they were serving A104..I thought what the heck! But numbers skip...it went from 104 to like 116. So I wait like another 30 min. Just waiting sucks.nEmployees were nice. Better than the DMV thats for sure.nIts clean. They have bathrooms.nThe guards are nothing to mess with.

I only give them two stars because of my personal situation. I needed to drop off one form. It was from state disability. That's all I needed. Well they don't have a drop off one form window so I had to take a number and wait to be called. It took just over three hours. If they would put in some sort of mail slot or something it would sure be nice.nI didn't have to talk to anybody or anything.. When they called my number I went to the window, handed the guy my form, he said can I help you with anything else, I said no thanks and he saidhave a good day. Three hours.

When the place is open I'm always greeted politely by the officers and staff lines are long what they move along pretty quickly except in the summertime a gets packed. Other than that this is a great place

As any other government offices, is a long waiting experience.nThe metal detector inspection, takes a few minutesnThe personal is friendly. Clean facilities -as any other public restrooms needs to be improved.nI went in and out in a short period of time.nI totally recommend to make an appointment before you go, so you don't have to be in line for long periods of time.
