I called in twice and sent in a on line help request - to ensure an elderly friend received her past social security tax documents. Both times they stated the packet would be delivered to her in 7-10 days. Both times documents never came. Now trying to call to make an in person appointment to get them and the phone is busy/not working. Tax deadlines are looming and absolutely no follow up on this matter. Stop using Covid as an excuse for bad service - every once else in the world has pivoted by now!

I know each person who visits this location may have a different experience based on the time they arrived and the agent they dealt with and what they needed assistance with.nnI arrived about ten minutes after they opened. My encounter with the on site security was nothing less than professional. I checked in at the electronic kiosk and was called to the window approximately 10 minutes later. My experience with the representative was professional as well. All in all, I was in and out within 25 minutes.

Michelle the operationu2019s manager was an angel for me. My money was misdirected to the old bank account, which resulted in some pain, waiting on the payment. Michelle was so kind when I started to get upset. She hooked me up with social services for Monterey County, which I never even considered, and will make a huge difference in my life going forward. So nice, someone was human, and empathic. It must be hard, to have people melt down on you. Thank you Salinas SSA! Thank you kind Michelle.

They made me extremely frustrated. I lost my mind!! I had lost my SS card year ago and without permission someone changed my date of birth. I can't turn in my taxes because of that. So I call on the phone and they told me to turn my ID, birth certificate and application. They received a application and then now they want another one. I'm literally going through hell with them. I hate them with a passion! They are the worst workers.

I applied for my Social Security retirement benefits November 17th, 2021. Today's date is Feb. 1st, 2022. My application is in phase 2 of 3 phases. No updates or problems with the application. No contact from the the Salinas Social Security Office. I call this office and no one EVER answers the telephone. EVER!!!!!!!

Applied for a new social security card/# for my son. It's been well over 2 months and the security is not allowing anyone inside without an appointment, you call and can't get anyone to answer. Went online to create an account and it directed me back to calling the office which leads to nowhere. How the hell can anyone get any help from this administration???

I need new social security cards. Contacted them over 3 weeks ago just for the paperwork I need to get the new cards and nothing. I live one city over. How long does it take to get something that close.??? I could have gone myself and it would have been so so much faster. And they're RUDEnRachael Pankow

I repeat what others are saying; because my experience is identical. If I could rate less than one star I would.nThey never answer the phone or return calls. I've been trying to reach them every day for the last 4 weeks to no avail. After being on hold for 20 minutes I find out that their voice-mail is full and it hangs up on you. When I do get through to leave a message, no one ever returns my call. ud83dude21ud83eudd2c

I called the Salinas office number; got various recordings, then it appears I was waiting forthe next available agent. The phone about 8 times; a recording came on, said all available agents are busy, then disconnected. Amazing, I've paid into social security for about 48 years, and this is the service I get.

Easy to schedule appointment, staff was very helpful and I was in and out... Took a bit to get someone on the phone.

Over the phone service is inadequate and inconsistent. My first call went great, even with the long wait time, but my more recent calls were ended halfway through discussing my questions/concerns with staff. I'm not sure if intentional or accidental, but it would help if this issue is resolved.

They ever never answering the phone and never returned call backsnAnd the agent yelling on the phone and hang up the phone it is not professional service. How come that the agent hang up the phone with the customer and they give you wrong information

I am a disabled person and I learned I cannot rely on this administration to care for my needs I applied for an expedited reinstatementAGAINalmost a year ago. My case worker had lost my paperwork several times. My direct deposit number was not recorded. I can't seem to get anywhere. Too much work for bureaucrats. I have had to overdraft just to cover my bills whom I've been trying to catch up with since may of 2019. I'm in so much debt and cant work to save my life

Awful service! Rude, rude, rude, inadequate employees who dont care! Did I mention they are rude? I've gone in personally and dealt with them on the phone and It's never a good experience. I've been waiting to receive payment on approved benefits for 4 months after I was told to expect it in my account. When I call I'm lied to and told to expect it by a certain date and when that date comes and goes im given another date that comes and goes. What a fiasco! I cant stress enough how bad the service is!

Pleasant visit. Not a long wait for me. I enjoyed how the waiting room is limited to 2 people per visit. Other businesses should consider this practice. Security Guard was very professional as well. I had a positive experience the two people who helped me were very nice.

The employees can be as rude as they like, they are government employees. Being polite and helpful are requirements when a business has competition and customers can go elsewhere. The social security employees know the public has no other choice. Other businesses hire additional help because customers will leave if they have to wait too long but at the social security office, there is no other place you can go and the employee attitudes indicate they are aware of this.nnI give them one star because 0 stars is not an option.

Was expecting bad experience based on other reviews but was actually pleasantly surprised. Well organized, not too long to wait at all and then very professionally and pleasantly assisted. Main assistance was provided by Dan who could not have been more efficient, professional and pleasant. Fifth star would be given if even a shorter wait.

I was there for an appointment early in the morning. I was treated very nicely by everybody there.nI didn't know the place got so busy early in the morning. But it does. You're only going to get inside if you either ...nA Have an appointment ornB If there's enough space for people to sit then you'll get in the door. Otherwise you will have to wait in line.

My autistic son wnet with his ILS person to apply to get half of my retirement benefits. It is just a sinple formality.nWhen I went to the Auburn office to apply for retirement the whole process took maybe 20 minutes.nIn Salinas they had to spend 1 hour waiting and then were told, they needed a SPECIALIST and my son and his helper should come back April 31. a month later.nThe way the Salinas Soc.Sec. office treats people is appalling, unfriendly inefficient and humiliating. I intend to write an official complaint about this office after I myself on my sonu2019s behalf endured hours if waiting time without results.nIt is impossible to call and get answers without a huge investment on time.

The staff were very rude, dismissive and condescending. They provided misleading information and I found them to be unhelpful and extremely offensive. I felt dismissed because of my race and when I asked to speak with supervisor not once but twice I was told no.

Fantu00e1stico! Quick, friendly, and the gentleman at the door who checks your bags explained every move we had to make. Place was quiet and we were in and out of there within 30 minutes ud83dude2fud83dude4f ps... 21 windows helps keep it moving!

Obnoxious and rude. Too incompetent too list my grievances. Most inept government entity I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. If there is a donar list of people offering her a personality I suggest you reserve her a spot.

Talk about the most unprofessional women I have ever met in government service. They wouldn't release all of their names. However, if you encounter Debbie (a white woman with dirty blonde hair) or a woman of African American decent with redish brown hair that wears a lot of gold jewelry who I have seen at window 4 often, you are in for an attitude out of this world before you open your mouth.nnI was there on behalf of my grandfather who is currently on a breathing tube in the hospital and unable to call them.nnI only needed his tax forms sent to his address of record. From the way I was treated, you would of thought I was there to steal his identity.nnIf they could be fired, I would sign every form needed! May karma over take them for how evil they were to every person I watched them service.

Extremely friendly staff. More so than any other SSA office I've been to. However, it is almost always packed with a line out the door. So arrive early.

The lady who answers the phone is incredibly rude. She actually hung up on me, in the middle of confirmation and questions. Some people are just empty inside I guess.

I waited almost 2 hours & probably longer if I would've stayed . Had to return the next day to be helped. Really think they need more professional help in front with great customer service . Employees are rude with No customer service.ud83dudc4eud83cudffd
