Me and my husband can never get aholdnOf anyone from this office. We even call the supervisor contact information that is left of our workers voicemail and they never answer or their voicemail is full. This is completely unprofessionalu2026 it seems like everyone is supposed to be working from home due to covid but NOT actually working. Now my kids do not have their benefits going and we are behind on our assistance we were supposed to be getting for the month. Whenever they do call us back it is a week or two weeks later and they apologize for the inconsistency because we do everything on our end. I am disappointed, frustrated, and hope that Our counties Social Security administration can tighten up and give better customer support and professionalism.

Waited my turn in line ( no appointment). The woman in window 3 was very nice. She went the extra mile for me in a time sensitive matter. I wish more people would be as caring to help. THANK YOU!!

I got in and out within 20 minutes. Everyone seemed helpful and efficient. If you have your paperwork in order, the process seems to go very quickly. The line was about 5 strong outside when I arrived but it went by quickly.

So very unprofessional. I swear every time I call they tell me different things. One worker had attitude when she answers like she hates her job. All I want to know is why is it taking 6 months at the payment location for my husband's SSDI payment if you already uploaded the documents into the system. How come I cant talk to a supervisor? I guarantee y'all wouldn't work for free!!!

I just want to compliment one if your staff who answered the phone yesterday and eventually helped me all the way out of her own volition. She didnu2019t transfer my call when I explained to her (the name is Ms. Reullan or close to that) the predicament I was in regarding my wifeu2019s representative payee issue. After an hour on the phone, the problem was solved. So I canu2019t thank her enough that is why I searched for this page so I can publicly post that Ms. Reullan provided the help I needed in an exemplary manner, of which I knew was beyond her normal work routine description and helped me resolve the matter instead if transferring the call. She was obviously knowledgeable with the issue at hand and my concern was swiftly resolved, thus eliminating the need for an in-person appointment. Kudos to a job well done Ms. Reullan and I was surprised with the negative reviews I read. Keep it up and thank you again.

Yes, they strongly recommend an appointment but getting one is like playing the lottery or pulling a wisdom tooth with your hands. It's really sad that with all the modern technology we have Social Security Service's for our Monies we actually worked for is getting worse!!!!

It's impossible to get through, always a busy signal. I've been trying daily for about a month. My wife and I went there and the security guy told her I needed to call and make an appointment. I'm so frustrated, and unable to get family stuff taken care of until I Change my last name. PLEASE FIGURE THIS OUT AND WORK WITH THE COMMUNITY. YA'LL ARE LOOKING PRETTY BAD..

This place is unbelievable, they blame u201cCOVIDu201d for everything. While I am stuck in the middle because Iu2019m still waiting for these people to u201creceiveu201d my mailed in name change for my social security card, with the social security card. They told me it would take 2 weeks. Itu2019s been 4 weeks & now I can not proceed with my actions until I receive my social security card back.nActually, I was told they have u201cno traceu201d of it & to call back in another week. HA great so my social security card is out & about somewhere because this place canu2019t do their job!nI seriously live down the street, I couldu2019ve walked in & done all the paper work their & they couldu2019ve made copies, too easy but nope u201cCOVIDu201d is their excuse.nWAKE UP, the pandemic is OVER.nPut your workers back in the office!!!nI would be ashamed working for this location.

Very upset because the security provided me with wrong information so my application got denied. When I called headquarters and told them what he told me, they instantly said u201che should not be telling anyone anything.u201d

Worst of the worst! After listening for 10 minutes then selecting 9, they simply hang up!nIf you send an email for which a form is provided, you get a response that email is not safe and you get no answer not even for most general questions.

If I can leave a ZERO , I would .nI called the number, a older lady answered & started raising her voice at me in a sense trying to make me feel u201cdumbu201d.nI was never rude or came off wrong to the lady until she started raising her voice at me .nShe proceeded to laugh & ask me my u201cageu201d ??? Iu2019m very confused to all of this bc I simply called to make my little sister a appointment for her social .

I donu2019t normally write reviews like this, but the service that I received was abysmal. Iu2019ve been very stressed out trying to change my name and this is the first that I have attempting to do this, so Iu2019m genuinely trying to figure everything out. Some compassion would have been greatly appreciated, but when I called with a question if I could schedule an in person appointment to drop off documents I was met with extremely rude and sarcastic responses. I had made a mistake and called a SS office at a different city so I was given the phone number for Riverside and was encouraged to call. I did not get the name of the worker but I called around 11:15am today (5/21/21). I explained my situation was told not to u201ccall around anymoreu201d because they receive 800 calls a day and Iu2019m only adding to all they have to do. He had seen that I had called the Fontana office but would not listen when I tried to explain that I was encouraged by the worker there to call, since I had called in the wrong jurisdiction. Iu2019m sorry, I understand there is a pandemic, but this is something I need to get done. Now, I donu2019t want to call any office anymore because Iu2019ve been made to feel like a burden on the system.nTo make a long story short, I feel that I didnu2019t deserve to be treated this way, as I was only seeking information. Had I been told the information with respect and kindness I would have been completely okay with being told that I have to do everything by mail. This was not okay.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They seem like they don't want to do their jobs here. I'm not really sure what they're being paid for. Our daughter was born New Year's Eve of 2020 and we have still yet to receive a social security card. This location told us that it was sent to our address previously, but said that hopefully nobody else got her social security card and that we should check her credit report and that hopefully nothing happened, but didn't try to resend it or do anything to actually help. We've played phone tag over 10+ times and they keep telling us they'll call us back or that a supervisor will call, but it never happens. We keep trying them and they're quick to tell us they'll call us back and either they do and give us a runaround or they fail to call us back altogether. We need her social security number for tax purposes and they don't seem to care very much here or maybe they're just unorganized. Avoid this place, save a massive headache and waste of time, try elsewhere!

I have been trying to get an appointment because they are not taking walk ins. The only way to get one is by calling them. Their lines are always busy and when u finally someone answered me the lady was rude, asked me hold and then suddenly disconnected the call. You guys need to use tech to schedule appointment (Online scheduling )
    Rosie Merle
Yes very rude, I called asking a question about my nephews situation and the guy I was talking to hung up on me while I was still talking and I know it wasn't a connection thing cause he was giving me attitude from the beginning.

i am a trans person trying to get my name changed on my social security number so i can start working. I've gone through most of the legal process to get it changed and have been very patient, but for some reason i never hear anything back when i try calling. it's been 3-4 months and not once have they picked up my call or answer back to me. i even went to the office but they turned me down saying they were closed. I'm most likely going to be jobless for the rest of the year if this keeps continuing. There should be no excuse why many people like me are being turned down on a daily basis. this is legitimately the last thing i need to be legally changed so i can go on with my life so i don't have to be dead named at my work place, i don't want to explain myself about private information that im uncomfortable to talk about with people i barley know.

I called about a mistake the Social Security Administration made in my legal name. I have a disability that involves memory. The staff was unbelievably rude and disrespectful.nThey told me I had my name wrong, and questioned me as if I committed a crime. So hostile, I was shocked that a taxpayer funded entity would act in such a manner. This office should be closed as they are useless and refuse to do their job. I was told to mail them my driver's license and birth certificate. That is unsafe and not even real as I must have my license by law to drive. The entire staff should be fired and other people hired and trained to work in a professional and service oriented manner. Completely unacceptable.

HORRIBLE service! Everytime I call the representatives always say the same thing and are little to no help at all. My husband called early today and a man completely ignored him. Very rude and unprofessional. It took us so long to get an appointment, all they do is put your name on a list and never call.
    Rachel Augustine
UNACCEPTABLE - The supervisors at this office should be ashamed of this office's incompetence and absolute inefficiency. The reason why their call volume is always high is because it takes many weeks of calling everyday to try to resolve any issue. The front desk person isnot allowed to tie up the phone addressing individual issues. So they will take your name and number for a call back. IF you are lucky and get a call back, but you miss the call, they will leave you a message with no return number. So you must call the front desk again and start over.nnMy elderly mother needs her social security card. She received a letter from SSA saying she would automatically receive one. No card. They made her go in person to apply for one. No card. After 10 days of calling, and hours spent on the phone, they realized they lost record of her appointment and never processed her application. So they called her in for another appointment. As if this wasn't bad enough, my mother speaks little English and they would not allow her to bring a family member to help her (Covid, they said.) The agent was condescending and unkind to my elderly mom. She was sent home confused and humiliated. And after a month and a half after her initial appointment - no card.nnFIX THE PROCESS - Stop blaming COVID - bring your tele-workers back to the office and do your job.

They are only seeing people by appointments I understand that but when they answer the 866 phone number the representative are short and very unprofessional. I have a special circumstance that they wouldnu2019t let me explain. Very rudely said to fill out the SS5 application and send it in. Wouldnu2019t let me make an appointment or explain why I needed one

Very unprofessional disrespectfulnMissing my document wasting three months of my timenWhen I call and see whatu2019s going they said sorry you have re submit it cos my team made a mistakenPlease change the staf there are very road

We sent in original Passports and they now are lost!! Birth certificate and adoption papers! I am so upset! No response from them and can't give us tracking #????

I understand that we are in the middle of a massive global pandemic. I understand that with the volume of calls at your field offices it can be impossible to keep track of discrepancies. I understand that we are all struggling to keep our heads above the waves as an ocean of uncertanty seeks only to pull us deeper.nnWith that in mind I want to take the time to let you know that it is representatives like Mrs. Scott who help keep the wheels from falling off our bureaucrat-fueled, automated-phone-call-waxed jalopy infrastructure we all know and love.nnSometimes all we want is to be heard- Even if the one person making the decision to listen is just screening calls.nn-Charles

They are also closed to the public unless you have an appointment !! Went here yesterday after going to the one in Moreno Valley !! They should let the public know this !!

Orange County Social Security Office (more populous County) is processing name change social security cards within 10-14 days. I was asking Riverside's process and the agent who called me back was very rude and ended up abruptly hanging up on me when I was asking questions. Their turnaround rate is 45+ days and they don't send back your sensitive documents unlike other Counties. I think it's absurd that they hang onto them that long when their processing time is so long.
