Ms.Romo was the best person, as in service, Iu2019ve ever met in my life. I had such a great experience with her. She was quick, accurate, and clear with everything, I didnu2019t even have to ask more questions.

I had an appointment today 11/01, was really amazing experience , starts with Mr. Rodriguez the security officer i really liked his vibe and professionalism , and SSA Staff she was very professional , fast , and friendly. Looks like who sits on phone do sabotage in this office. They do redirecting to fake answering machine of 'technical specialist' to make an appointment. I left few times my messages. Nobody will call you back. One day they asked me to send by fax my SS5 with other documents just to review and assign the appointment. Nobody called me to do this. I phoned many times to them and each time they said different stories and urged to send documents by mail. I do not want to loose me original documents in mail limbo as other people already did. I just need to visit office and provide changes in me record. I believe it is few minutes deal.

Going into an SSA office lately has been a very efficient process. Grab yourself an appointment and those pre- covid wait times are a thing of the past. Unless you are taking about when you call, because that can take a little while.

The lady I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and kept telling me to go elsewhere. Really happy to see a true patriot working in our government system.

I tried to make an appointment to bring my documents (birth certificate and passport) in person to have my social security card replaced, as I had a wallet stolen containing both my drivers license and social security card. They are insisting I send original copies of both my passport and birth certificate by mail and allow up to two weeks for processing. This is absolutely ridiculous. Iu2019ve seen another review that they lost someoneu2019s drivers license. My passport and birth certificate are the only identification forms I currently have, as I cannot replace my drivers license without a social security card. I donu2019t understand how they expect someone to trust not only the mail but also their offices with original copies of the only documents they have to identify themselves with for up to two weeks. Also, what do they suppose I do for two weeks without identification? This is a public service agency. Do your job.

It was fast and efficient, dont bring any contraband they search you extensively.

I've been dealing with this office for two months. It has been an awful experience. They lost my Social Security card in the mail, and it has become my responsibility to apply for a new card. I was told to re-send my birth certificate and application via USPS. They lost my Social Security card, so why would I have confidence in providing my documents again? The DMV is open for in-person appointments, but the SSA is not? Absolutely absurd.

The office is currently CLOSED! However the number provided has clerks ready and quickly resolve the matter at hand. I wish I would have checked the messages on here before taking the day off to change my last name but that was user error! Lol!! I called the number while in the hallway and was answered with a solution within 10 minutes. The clerk on the phone was helpful, pleasant and gave me everything I needed. Iu2019m changing my last name because I got married (woot woot!) hereu2019s what I needed: change of name form (available online), original marriage license certificate and first marriage dissolution paperwork (certified copy from court is also acceptable). I certified mailed them and and was advised my originals would be returned to me. Only downfall was parking was close to $6 for 10 minutes, which seemed a little steep?? I would recommend meter parking on the street if you plan on being there a short period of time. Also no attendant so make sure you pay your parking tab at stations throughout garage- card only!

I have an appointment but they said that they donu2019t have any appointment today itu2019s a terrible experience do not ever make appointment here

Very bad service from this office. I've tried to call to schedule an appointment for a replacement SS card and the staff has been useless. I understand with Covid, offices have been closed but now the people here simply don't want to work, help or provide good service - I've asked to go personally to show my original documents like my green card and they refused and told me to send my ORIGINALS through the mail. I'm very worried that my original documents will get lost in the mail when the office mails them back. It is so absurd that I can't review them in person or drop them off. The manager of the office (Ms. Borro) hasn't called me back and now i'm waiting without an updated SS card. Someone needs to figure this out because COVID is not an excuse for not doing your job, it just means you need to find a safe way to do it.

This Social Security Administration office lost my Naturalization Certificate and Driveru2019s License and theyu2019re not taking responsibility of what they did. I called them more than 10 times, spoke with different agents and they would always give me an invalid Tracking number that doesnu2019t even exist (double checked the number several times with them) and tell me that I have to solve my problem with USPS. USPS said that if thereu2019s no tracking number itu2019s imposible to find. A Naturalization Certificate costs $550 and the driver license we all know it costs a whole day at the DMV. I canu2019t believe they canu2019t assume the responsibility. This is unacceptable

Great people working there. I only have had good experiences in this office. There is a small waiting time. Bring your phone or a book to read. Nice chairs and clean place. If you are disabled you still need to wait in a short line. If you can't wait it is Best to bring your care giver to help you.

As of June 17th 2021 this office is still closed and operating entirely by mail services. They are not following the state mandate to open on June 15th they are following federal mandate to remain on lockdown. A warning to anyone who thinks they have reopened to the public.

Two thumbs up for this office, it's probably LA thing cos i did not have good experience with any government office in DC. Today, I arrived at 11am and greeted by two guards (Hispanic and African American), both of them were friendly and i saw them how they always say hi and bye to others. The female guard told me to check in at the machine. I got a queue ticket from machine, surprisingly my number was called less than 10 minutes (i think every queue ticket is different depending on its case). I went to counter 8 and greeted by an African American lady with braided hair who was beautiful, super nice and she even said congratulation to me. I showed her all the required documents and everything was done less than 20 minutes. This office is not big but pretty cozy, comfortable chairs, looks clean and they give excellent service.nnPS: There's a parking garage in the building and the entrance is from Colby Avenue. I'm not sure how much it costs but i paid $6.90.

How funny to rate/review a Social Security office, but man this was the best experience at a government agency Iu2019ve ever had. Very pleasant experience, unlike other places like the courthouse or the DMV, which Iu2019ve had to visit during my name changing process. Parking was street only, which took awhile, but not too bad. Found a lot of open spots off of Olympic. As soon as I walked into the office 2 very nice security guards greeted me, and did the regular security check. The lady that helped me was incredibly pleasant as well. I was in and out in 30 minutes! I couldnu2019t believe it! I had paid for 2 hours of parking bc I thought it was going to be like every other awful place Iu2019ve been to.

After trying to go to two other locations the previous week (one closer to my house and the other closer to my work), I thought I would give this one a try and hope there was not a long line out the door. What a wonderful experience! I got there shortly after 9am on a Tuesday, was able to get assistance within 30 minutes and was driving out of the parking lot by 10am! The facility was clean, security were professional and courteous, the employees were also very helpful and friendly. Highly suggest this location for any of your SS needs. It also helped to expedite if you already any forms needed already filled out prior to your arrival. check the SSA website for assistance with that.

Just today I called the Westwood office of the US Social Security Administration because I was in desperate straights. My company health insurance is expiring in two weeks and I had been locked out of medicare Part B. The SSA representative at the Westwood office with whom I spoke, I believe her name is Missila, told me everything I had to do to fix the problem and it worked like a charm. I now will have my medicare coverage because of her help and expertise and kindness. Federal agencies and employees are sometimes dismissed as uncaring bureaucrats, but that certainly was not true in this case. She really cared, and I will be forever grateful that she saved my health care. Bryan Mitnick

2019-03-22: The machine is now fixed. In addition, I was called up to one of the workers to process my request and found out that I was missing documentation. She told me that, if I could come back with the missing documentation by the end if the day, I could go straight up to her desk and skip the line. Very nice and convenient. And the wait was not that long: maybe 30 minutes. It still is not a efficient as it could be, but better than I expected from a federal government office.nnOriginal post:nThe machine that prints out your 'position in line' ticket malfunctioned both days that I came to this office. And there was not a simple resolution. My guess is that this happens frequently and little effort is made to actually fix the problem.
