    The SSA obviously has a lot of internal issues. My husband has not had a disability payment since Oct 2021 because they state they never received the forms they needed. Months of phone calls and messages. Mailing copies of what had already been sent as well as faxing. Reps stating they don't show anything was received but next call to them on same day a different rep says oh it's here. This goes on for months. Now, everything is just sitting in the payment processing dept. We have the same complaints as the others - long hold times, can't get through, disconnected, no return calls, etc. So disappointed. I would not give any star rating but you have to do at least one to post your review.

    On hold for over 45 minutes now. Local office just gives a busy signal and offers no in person appointments. Been calling and faxing for nearly 2 weeks without anyone answering. In 2 weeks I won't have my medicare coverage if I can't reach a live person. YIKES!

    The security guard that was there the first time I went was a sweetheart and very helpful. But every time I try to drop off documents itu2019s been a problem. I also hate that they close at 4p.m. Seems a bit ridiculous to me they close at such a weird part of the day when the majority of people are still working.

It was very triggering for the person I worked with ( who had worked 30 years and was diagnosed with a mobility debilitating illness. It was GROSS TO CONSIDER HER SAYING THIS .     Went there without an appt to request a new ss card due to name change and was pleasantly surprised at the staff efficiency. Although I helped within 30 minutes, it was clear some requests have a longer wait. Make sure you have all needed documents required for the transaction you are processing. Also, since this is a federal building they check your personal items and all customers must go through a metal detector before entering.

    Is this office operational? I tried to call about a dozen times and never can get through to an actual person, so I decided to go in person instead. I went at 2:30 on a Tuesday and there was no one there...doors locked and no one working.

    I was here on Tuesday right a 9:00. The line already had 20 people waiting. We waited two hours in the hot sun, no shade, and no seating provided. There were children in the group (2 & 4 year olds crying). When I finally got in, there were over 30 empty chairs in the nice air-conditioned waiting room. Why did they make us wait 2 hours in the hot sun?

    I went around 1 the line was not that bad like a 10 minute wait. It's like the airport so you have to empty your pockets and take off your belt then go through a metal detector. For my SS replacement a ID or driver's ID is enough to get it mailed.

    Stopped by to grab an application for the 66 year old homeless man who lives behind my house. Apparently, you are expected to wait in a 40-minute line for a blank application. I guess nobody cares enough about customer service to make them available by the front door.nnUPDATE: Glad I didn't wait in line. I checked the SS website for a printable form for my homeless neighbor to fill out AND THERE ISN'T ONE, just an online application. I guess old homeless people are expected to have computers. FAIL

I don't feel safe doing this, especially with our current president.     I was leery about going but I couldn't put it off any longer. I was there 15 minutes and took care of my name change. It was a GREAT experience!!! I thought it was going to be like the DMV but it wasn't. It's more of a controlled and faster atmosphere. In and Out!

    I spent around an hr and 30min here WITHOUT an appt. I consider that fast since this is a government office, got there at 9:05 there was a long line already but was running fast and got out of there at 10:30, the staff is very kind and professional I was even assisted in my native language (Spanish) which made me feel very comfortable.     I have never met a woman as unconsidinconas this civil employee. I received a letter from her in June saying I have an appointment with her on July 19th and if.     They have 80 seats to sit people inside but let 1 in at a time. So you will most likely be outside in the hot ass sun, rain, cold, for at least 2 hours.
