my visit to the Inglewood Social Security was great! Everybody was helpful and professional and polite. I had the document I came for in 15 minutes. That is the most efficient and professional government office I have ever dealt with.

Phone calls don't work, they either put you on long waits or hang up. When this is the only option you have to set up an appointment, given the pandemic, it certainly makes access to services very hard. I tried called other Social Security offices and did not have this issue (unfortunately, based on where I live I need the Inglewood office to solve my issue)

Just called this office and after holding the line for 20minutes after a quick hello I was placed me on hold for another 15 minutes. This very rude front desk person came back on the line toassistme did not let me finish any of my questions before speaking over me and not answering the question I asked, huff constantly as if I'm being a bother to her and in less than 2minutes in the middle of me asking a question THIS UNPROFESSIONAL 'LADY' HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME. 40mins wait for a 2min convo and no answer my questions. THEY HIRING ANYBODY THESE DAYS

On a Friday in July 2021, I called to schedule an in-person appointment over the phone. The lady took my detail and reason for my visit, after which she told me that a supervisor would give me a call as to when to come in for my appointment.nnThe next Monday I got a call back from them for me to come in on Thursday. I went, and my visit and business was concluded in less than 30minutes. It was clean, quiet and comfortable environment.nnThe lady who attended to I and my daughter (would update with her name when I remember). She was professional, very helpful, responsive and cheerful. It was a breeze in and out.!

RUDE Employees!! I cannot understand how these employees are unable to be professionals. Is it so hard to do your job? 1st CALL: I called today to verify appointment time I wasnu2019t sure even though I marked it on my calendar, sometimes it shows me 30minutes before or later. I literally just wanted to make sure I didnu2019t miss it. The lady answered already with attitude and I explain to her why I called. She takes down all my information and has the nerve to ask u201c So you canu2019t remember your appointmentu201d in a very rude tone. I responded no(i had already explained it to her) I then ask her if itu2019s a problem that Iu2019m calling for that reason? She said: u201c Did I say it wasu201d! Keep in mind she already was being rude to me. I responded with her u201cyour attitude was saying it wasu201d. She said something then hung up.nn2nd call: I called after and a man answered took all my info. He sounded professional and i thought FINALLY someone who isnu2019t rude. But nooo! After taking ALL info and my daughteru2019s he said u201c you need and ID for your child call us back when you have one Byeu201d and hung up. Omg! I was speechless, like why couldnu2019t I ask any questions or speak whatsoever? Itu2019s very frustrating that youu2019re waiting so long for someone to answer your call and when they finally do they answer like theyu2019re having a bad day and just hang up like am I not allowed to call? What am I allowed to call for ? I donu2019t get it.11/24/21 called @ 2:00 then 2:30 and then 3, they didnu2019t answer anymore.

THE WORST!nThis facility sent my personal original documentation to the incorrect address even though my application has the correct address. No one is able to assist and they are so rude! My passport and marriage license is lost somewhere along with my social security and they can care less! Ive never experience such a horrible services. They never answer the phone and when they do they try to rush you out of the line. I hate this place and regret ever contacting them!!!

I never left comments in google but I downloaded the google app for the first time in my life just to rate this. Incredibly LAZY. Itu2019s been 3months for what I requested and they do not do they jobs- at all. The papers that has to be arrived until 2 weeks but it is taking more than 2 months and it hasnu2019t arrived yet even now. So they did not even looked at it for over 2 weeks. They confirmed my case just when I called them and asked about it. We donu2019t call that a public office, but probably a ramen shop.

My mother called in to get information on her Medicare payment that was 400 + dollars more than she owed. They laughed at her for not being retired and threatened to take away her healthcare if she did not pay the amount due.nnI decided at this point my mother needed help explaining that we had done all that was required through the billing process and that she had receipts for the payment that she hadmissedto which I was treated as subhuman. They told me due to time constraints they needed to hang up on me if I did not aquick questiondue to us being in a pandemic and all that. Thank you Ms.Thigpen for explaining to me that we were in a global pandemic and the government may set time constraints on customer service.nnOur first phone call we reached a Mr. Castillo about the issue we were having with her bill to which he asked for all of my mothers personal information. We were then placed on hold and hung up on. Ms. Thigpen explained to us that he went on his break. I have some serious suspicion that the policy on taking breaks does not include getting someone social security number and then not communicating that they cannot assist us due to said break.nnI would love to get in contact with anyone in charge of this branch because I am very concerned with the quality of help that their customers are receiving.

All the information on the internet and over the phone say that the offices are open they are not. There's a guard at the door that gives you envelopes and give you a number to call to make an appointment the appointments are by phone only nothing is done in person. I only gave it a one-star because I could have saved myself a trip I can make an appointment over the phone they do not accept walk-ins anymore.

This has got to be one of tbe worst offices ever, the lines are always long half way down the street, and once you finally make it in The lines inside are even longer. I recently had to submit paperwork for my son via fax about 20 or more pages back and front and they had the nerves to send a letter telling me that they were stopping his benefits because there were pages missing impossible because they were sent more than once and suspended the benefits even though they were submitted by the date they were supposed to be submitted. I had to call again a few different times and the last call was with a lady that seemed like she was agitated that the paperwork wasn't in order. But they were there she tells me that she would have to speak to her supervisor who told her if all the forms were there she could reinstate the benefits in which I dont know how long that takes she didn't explain she was just trying to find something missing and then told me my minor child needed to sign a form just in case and that she had other calls to take. Very unprofessional and not to mention the back pay they still haven't completly paid out but want to stop the benefits, where they do that at? Unbelievable

You form a line outside an hour before they open. They only let in about 8 to 10 people at a time. After standing outside for almost 3 hours you still come in to a freezing building to stand in line for another hour. Then you wait for a few more hours to get seen. You are here all day! Good luck trying to make an appointment. This place is something else. Workers are slow and do the bare minimal.

They dont always tell everyine the process. I lost 25 minutes for this reason.n1) you wait outsiden2) you get a ticketn3)they dont tell you all the yime but you need to wait in another line for whatever reasonnn4) and then you sit down and wait .nnIt's been 2.5 hrs. I was here when they open at 9 am.nnLet's see what other lines or wait times will come up..nnRidicilously inefficient! I'd say a nerve fight..
    Josh Levenson
Incredibly inefficient as compared to the office on Olympic Blvd. and so disrespectful to customers. First they make you wait outside. Then when you check in they make you wait again in a different line indoors instead of simply taking a number and waiting to be called. Ridiculous and different from how one is treated on the westside.
    Marie Grace Alban
Went twice, first time they processed my daughter's social with the wrong last name and had to go a second time. Spend total 4 hours waiting with a 2 month old. They should offer appointments for people coming with newborns.
    Hana Downey
Not the best place to be but my god are their is plenty of people watching. Last time I went the cops got called cause of some drunken dispute. The people in the office are helpful. Do bring a sweater if you get cold easy cause the AC Is always blasting.

Thank you all that work for the SSA.nYou are making a difference in people's lives on a daily basis, You are all the best at what you do.nBe proud stand tall hold your head up you are doing God's work.nI think you for being there for all of us, I do appreciate your professional caring attitude and attention.
    Mentally ILL
Very unprofessional in a way that I feel was unnecessary for one EMPLOYEE to have me come in the office to bring proof of release and when i do get a ticket and im seated before my number comes up, the supervisor calls me by name and tell me i have to leave and i explained to her that I was told to come in by another EMPLOYEE she still says oh well i still had to leave! My mind was completely in sshock for the simple lack of proper ethics or service of an American Born disabled person. I though she was Racist because I was the only person there of European descent/ (white) and the worst part about it was there were people in and out of that office with no problems that were not born in this country so while im sittings outside i record a video of all the stress and trauma of that day!

Got here at 8:50am, left at 10:50 am... 2 hours wait on a Thursday morning!! Really nice guy at the window wearing a green shirt and flower tie.

Supervisor Williams is amazing. Even when she juggles between work and other customers, she still finds time to help. I donu2019t know whatu2019s with all the negative comments, go to a different one or sit down and shut up.

If you don't mind the metal detectors and armed guards like a prison, the smell of urine and homeless people outside waiting in line for an hour, or waiting over 2 hours to be seen. Otherwise, it's a cesspit; dirty and crowded. I always end up driving the extra miles to go to Torrance ( the only one who could give me an appointment as of 3/27/15)
    Settarat Leelaruji
The queue management is really need to improve! Bring your own chair, food and drink because you are going to wait in queue in front of office for 1-2hr
    Ebony Wooten-Bynum
I have been here for 3 hours waiting in line. If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service was horrible and I will NOT be returning to this facility.
    Larry Rabb
Even after waiting in line, the services I needed only took about 15 minutes. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful.
    Davon Rich
