Building totally closed due to covid-19. Nobody at all here to help you. The sign on the door directs you to call the office number which rings busy (no voice mail no nothin').

This is the first time in my 37 odd years of visiting any Social Security office in California that I can truthfully report of having had a great experience. The building is clean and the staff are pleasant and relaxed. There was absolutely no waiting time whatsoever. I don't know why the machine to vend queing tickets is there at all. I am just floored at how exceptionally well run that place really is.

I recently (4/3/2018) had a need to go to our Social Security Administration office in Crescent City,(just became of age)u2026 what a beautiful building. Easy to locate and well thought out parking. As I approached the entrance, I noticed it had a double entry door systemu2026just like seen in newer Banks. Finally in the main entrance, there was a security guy that greeted me, he had Black latex gloves on and was packing some heatu2026looked to be a Glock 20 (40 S&W), possibly 3rd generation, I didnu2019t asku2026Anyway, security guy was NOT your run of the millu2026he was and is the real-dealu2026he asked; do you have any firearms? I skipped the weather report, it is what it is.nnWhen it was my turn to be helped, I was summoned by my first name and not my number (C249)u2026how refreshing!
