Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, it was suspended face-to-face service to the public at the Social Security Offices until further notice.     I dont understand why they never answer the phones, ever. 4 hours on hold between 2 days. Three hours the first day. One hour the second. What? I get being busy but dang. I've worked in office and call center environments and the waits were never this deterring. Reading through reviews it seems like trying to contact them at all is a wasted effort.

    If I could give them 0 stars I would. My friend who is mentally disabled has been trying to fix a clerical issue done by them and has called 6 times in 2 days. 3 voicemails. No call backs. I've been disconnected 1x and now after waiting 30 min to connect got sent to a line that has rang for 3 min straight. Their office is incompetent to say the least.

    I wouldnu2019t even give them a star. Just spoke to an incredibly rude woman after waiting 20 minutes to talk to someone. She was condescending, incredibly rude, made me feel really stupid. I get that your office is busy and youu2019re a social security card u201ctechu201d, but you are horrible when dealing with people over the phone. Next time I call, if itu2019s you on the line Iu2019m going to ask for a supervisor. The only good thing was that she sent me an email to help me get a new card, which will take up to 2 weeks to even get approved. Great. If I could give the office negative a star I would, Iu2019ve called several times in the last week. Was hung up on twice. Finally got through only to deal with that woman.

    They require appointments for EVERYTHING yet the phone numbers you call to make appointments DONT WORK. Tried to go in without an appointment and was told I couldnu2019t without an appointment. Asked how to make an appointment when the phones donu2019t work. Guy just shrugged at me and sent me on my way. How are we supposed to do any of our business?????? Ridiculous

    They are not even that busy and still can't even answer the phones lines. ud83dude12 I never in my life had so much trouble with ss office. They should either be open to the public with limiting how many people can be inside while mask wearing or they should take ALL appts and not just a certain one. It should not be that hard to just get a replacement card and doing it by mail takes way too long and no one should have to wait that long for something that should be so simple to get directly from the office! ud83dude12

    I came USA in August and wait 10 months for my SSN but still did not get anything. In the paper they sent to me in November last year they said I need to wait within 4 weeks.nI was tried to call the office and some one transfer the call to Mike who take my case, but he doesnu2019t want to call back.     Receptionist lady is very rude. We stopped by to change my new wife's last name. The doors are locked and they won't let you in. They just stare at you. Then we call and after being on hold for 10 mins and going through a torrent of robo voices, we get the lady, she tells us we can't drop off the forms and we have to mail them...n1:the website says you can drop them off in person.n2: I'm already here, so why not just open the door and take them?n3: I already drove all the way acrossed town to do this and now I'm being told I have to go waste more of my time, gas, and money to go pickup stamps, and mail this instead of just leaving it there.nnI'm so tired of places using covid as an excuse to slack off from their duties...

    I donu2019t understand why I am being patted down with a medal detector. That Gaurds are nice but I felt like this was criminalizing. The Oroville office is by far Nicer of people and Officer Kimball is on point. The only good thing is the direct deposit and change of address forms on the wall. So you donu2019t have to deal with the Workers.

That dark haired guy that worked there today 8-7-2017 is not a person who should have any authority, and definitely never have a gun. He'd be killing people for no reason like you see happening all over the country these days. The dark haired power hungry idiot treated me horribly unjustifiably and should be fired.
