There is no phone number listed for the Auburn, California office. Trying to locate a number for this branch is impossible. Had to drive there to reschedule an appointment!!! The only positive thing I can say about this location is, the security guard is the most helpful and friendly person there.

My mother recently passed away and it was my responsibility to manage her estate. I made a phone call to the SS office in Auburn and was assisted with so much kindness and understanding! The person helping me was patient in answering my questions, and very helpful in explaining the process that I needed to follow and we accomplished all that was legally required in a matter of minutes. A huge load off my mind! They were very compassionate and kind in this time of sadness for our family.

Have tried calling several times. Horrible phone tree takes 3 - 4 minutes to work through and then offers next available agent, rings for 60 seconds and then auto hangs up on the call.

I have had the pleasure of being at the office three separate times. All being extremely helpful, curtious and friendly. This is all set around my Medicare program, quite afraid and intimidated. It all faded off, after being greeted and me relaxing. From the Security person to the inner office, you're all doing a great job. Thank you very much.

Susan, if that's even her real name is extremely rude and unprofessional. I don't feel comfortable in any way giving her my information. Her attitude is wretched. When I asked to speak to the Supervisor she refused multiple times. Finally she transferred me and the connection was lost. She called me back and quickly saidso you know I warned my Supervisor about you.YOU warned your supervisor about ME when YOU were the one that was being rude. Horrible, horrible.customer service with that one.

This office was able to get a copy of ss card very quickly even under the shelter in place. The office was closed to the public, all communication was through the mail and phone, we received our card with no delay, thank you! Also great customer service over the phone. Very nice people.

The only reason I can give the Auburn, Ca. Office one star is the considerate security guard, and the workers I saw previous to today.nI went in with my grandson whose survivor benefits which he is entitled to had been cut off 3 1/2 months ago. The paperwork from his high school which is required to prove that he is student has been turned in by us twice and twice it seems to have disappeared. When we sat down with the worker to ask about his benefits, she told me there was nothing to show that any of the required paperwork had been submitted. I was quitnTaken back as we had called a month previous. I told her that we had been told during that call that they had the paperwork from his school andnHe would be hearing from Soc Sec soon. Her response wasI don't know to tell you, sometimes people tell you what you want to hear! She proceeded with other rude remarks. Unbelievable, the rudest woman I ever had dealings with. I wish I knew how to get in touch with the person running this office because I would like to make a formal complaint .

Three months in to a claim I had heard nothing.nFinally, I checked up on the status and found they had lost my 1inch thick packed I had dropped off in the box. There was no record of me even filing.nJust a little advice to the world.nIf you need to make a claim make the appointment and do it with an agentnThen, no excuses. This kind of thing canu2019t happen. It could have financially destroyed someone.

The ladies were kind and helpful. The security guard was awesome! He was thorough but not overbearing. His tasteful levity turned an otherwise dreadfully dull task into a comically enjoyable experience!
