Showed up and the door was locked even though the hours are from 9-4. There was a car parked here so I know for a fact there was someone in there. I called several times and no one answered so I waited. After about 20 minutes someone came out the back door for employees only and got in the only car in the parking lot and left. Soooo I guess Iu2019m just going to have to go all the way to Tucson to get my name changed????

This office assists you with all social security needs such as disability, supplemental income and replacing social security cards. Office is well maintained and has a guard inside the entrance. Waiting time is relatively short, depending on how many people are being assisted. Staff is friendly, patient and helpful.

My experience at the Safford Social Security Office today was excellent in every respect. A knowledgable, courteous representative solved my problems in only a few minutes. No time was spent waiting to be seen. I recommend that other residents from rural southwestern New Mexico consider using this Social Security Office rather than the office in Las Cruces.
