Generally seems pretty fine in my opinion. To start off, you need to wait in line outside. My wait time outside was around 45 minutes. Each person gets called in to go through a check before you can go in and sit down. It seemed to take around anywhere from 1-15 minutes for a new person to be called inside for the check. Security was very personable and respectful of me and my property. The security guard handling masks did not wear gloves to hand them out to people that didn't bring their own. Once inside and checked, you're directed to take a number and wait inside as well. Due to covid regulations, you may not have a seat to take once inside, and you'll have to stand. Waiting in the lobby took another 45 minutes until I was called. The staff I spoke to seemed overstimulated, but they didn't seem disrespectful.

Hand delivered my information the the office to ensure they recieved my documentation. Its now been over two weeks and have not recieved any mail with my personal documentation (including my I.D. etc), that they are supposed to mail back to you ASAP while processing your request.nnHave called multiple times to check the status of my inquiry, but cannot get through to an agent. The one time my call finally went through, I could hear others in the background and then they literally just hung up without even greeting me. I am now seriously concerned... How can we trust that our personal information won't be stolen?

This is a great example of how poorly this government is run. My husband applied for Medicare part Bin January. The first go around he was declined. When is call to see why he was told his applications was sitting on the desk of the Yakima office, and he would have to talk to them. Over the last 2 day he has called over 100 time and can never get to talk to anyone. You canu2019t even talk to anyone to make an appt.

A family member of mine was at this location today and the security at this facility are vocally abusive and unprofessional. Telling disabled people to shut up, treating them as if they are lower than they are. They also mentioned how much they make, which is 15 an hour... which makes them not as high and mighty as they think they are. A younger security guard with an older man today. So disappointed and disgusted

Every time I call they never answer me and I talked to one of the people who help u and he was rude and. Hanged up on me and then my social work is never in her office and she made me in appointment and I called never answered me and not only that I have a disability and they never answered me to talk to someone. I left voicemail for them to reach me and they never called me back.

Would put zero stars if I could. HORRIBLE. They do not ever answer the phone. I have been put on hold several times anywhere from 10 minutes to a full hour and a half and then get hung up on. EVERY. TIME. Never have gotten through to an employee. I tried to go into the office and they refused to let me in or speak to me without an appointment- but they don't answer the phone in order to make an appointment and you can't schedule online. TRULY TERRIBLE, find a different office near you if possible. This one is awful!

Virtually impossible to get through to any agent in the SSA? No one will answer your phone call period! Too make an appointment it's impossible! Their working from home and they know that they can get away with it!nNo one there to check them?

Used multiple phones over the course of an hour and still could not get through, just to make an appointment. Absolutely ridiculous doesn't even deserve 1 star!

After spending 45 minutes on hold, it saidI'm sorry, I don't know which mailbox you are trying to access. goodbye. Are you joking...

I have heard horror stories about the waits and lines. Did not experience any craziness. Didn't have an appointment but was still able to be in and out in about 45 minutes. The security staff were friendly and had great attitudes and Arnie our field officer was polite, courteous and efficient. We did get in line a little before they opened at 9 which I suggest doing if you can. All in all, very positive experience.

My child has Severe EA , they don't call doctors to get information like my child's cardiologist to understand her disability, they want someone whose never seen my child or heard of her heart condition , on top of it they send me a letter , to the wrong address for a physical appt. Aka my old address in graham WA, knowing I live in ellensburg since this year, is it odd that a Yakima office sends things to graham WA after knowing I moved, as if the wanted me to miss the appt?!

Iu2019ve called 3 times now over the course of 2 weeks, every time I am transferred to Danielle whou2019s supposedly processing my forms per the person who transferred me. I leave a voicemail each time because she has never answered and have not received a call back. Before I submitted my forms I spoke with someone who told me that due to new COVID restrictions my forms will sit for 3 days before they are able to touch them, they will scan them into their system and return them. Receiving my forms back does not mean that they have been processed but that they have been received. I received my forms back with a received date stamp of 9/11/20. This process was supposed to take up to 2 weeks max, itu2019s been over a month. I understand COVID may cause delays but the customer service here is awful, Iu2019d at-least expect a call back.

Security guard very rude. Wouldn't let my son , who I had picked up from work to go with me, because he had his Constructuon clothes on and told him he had to wait outside. He was very rude to me and when I got my ticket number, there weren't any vacant chairs left , so I was standing by the wall and he told me I couldn't stand , I told him there weren't any chairs left and he said well you can't stand. An elderly man offered to sit on the floor and he told him that he couldn't sit on the floor. I asked him how long the wait was, and he told me a minimum of 2 hours. A very nice couple said they had been there 3 hours and there was still 15 people in front of her. I told him I would have to leave and come back another day, and he got upset and told me that I had wasted his time going thru security if I wasn't staying.nI have never been treated so rudely in a government building. Earlier I had been at the court house and security was very friendly and fast I had gone to department of licensing and very friendly, was surprised to see so much security at the Yakima social security office and have the security guard so high on themselves that they treat you like you are some kind of outlaw. If I had gotten the arrogant, rude guards name, i would report him. I came home, waited an hour on the phone and was treated so nice and professional. I told him about my experience and he couldn't believe that a guard could be so rude.

Lots of parking, and a very convenient location. Sure most government buildings people expect to wait for a long time. At the social security office today I was very impressed, I was in and out within an hour. The security guards were very friendly and helpful with everyone! They also quoted the time you would probably wait, which was helpful. Good job for making something not so fun surprising painless! ud83dudc4d

I tried several times to change the banking information with a rep and a phone number to be reached. I understand the safety measures they are taking. But when you can't update it on the website.. You would think that they would return your call

I tried calling multiple times no one will get back to me. The online services are being stupid so I called to ask for help and no one answers.

I recieved Excellent service when I went through my disability a few years back!nThen I went back to work full time and messed up my benefits! Two years later & I will be going back in in worse shape than i was! I keep putting it off because i really wanted to be able to work & not be disabled! I am grateful for this program and the people who are doing their job!

I have called many times and they won't answer. I have a rude guyassist me to only hang up!It is very hard to get help now days with covid in this area.

I have to say, the disrespectful comments in here make those who write them no better than the employees of the facility itself. If I learned anything over the years, its that you have to give respect to get respect, despite the good or bad customer service. maybe if people would quit thinking they are entitled to being fed and milked like children the employees could more respectfully serve you. they are human too. learn some manners. If you had payed attention to how packed they are and how many rude and egotistical individuals come in and out every day, maybe you could grasp the concept of the fact that stress kills and a bad attitude is pretty contagious. have some morals and stop complaining about how life has done you so wrong. We've all got issues okay. Does'nt mean you have to put them on blast. After all we are, for the most part, adults. ACT LIKE IT!

First of all if they had a negative star rating of -50 I would rate it as so but they don't so I'm forced grace them with a 1 which they are not even good enough for.nnTruly the longest wait for a decision by a judge in this social security office. Never have I had to wait this long just for a yes or a no from a judge especially on something that I have paid into my entire life that is rightfully mine.nnBut I digress I had a hearing back in September of 2017 and its my understanding that the judge has 90-120 days to reply and make a decision well its now February 8th 2018 well past the grace period I would say. O and that is not the best part I applied for my social security back in February of 2014.nnIf you plan on getting your social security benefits before you die I would start now so you can still claim it while you are still alive. Thank you for f*%$#@&$ everyone over DNC and Democratic politicians #ObamaBrokeIt #VoteDemOut #VoteJayInsleeOut

I went there for the first time in my life. I was greeted buy a security guard drunk with the power of his badge. Told me I can't go in with my pocket knife,so I took it off and tossed it on the grass. That wasn't good enough he said I have to take it all the way off property way over past the curb. And when I didn't obey him like a slave he called cops on me. After the cops came and told them they were wrong and for me to return tomorrow. When I returned I was greeted buy a manager drunk with power and was as she said kicked out and can no longer come here. So now we're can I get my social security card at?

Was treated extremely rude!! Can't believe that our tax dollars pay salaries for the guards at the front door, the one I encountered was rude and disrespectful!! Went to get a form had never been there before was surprised to see a line outside. Walked up to the door their was a gaurd at the door who informed me that the Harmon center or the Library help the elderly which if I was elderly might be okay but I'm not!!

RUDEST, DEGRADING, MEANEST, UNKNOWLEDGEABLE, UNHELPFUL human being Iu2019ve EVER encountered!nnArrived 40 minuets before opening thinking I could beat the always long, endless line outside the building but I was wrong. Absolutely NO parking spots, a line that went from door to sidewalk on the main street. Was in line (outside) from 8:25 to 9:32 got my ticket # & sat & waited until FINALLY called @ 11:30 just to be u201chelpedu201d by the absolutely RUDEST, DEGRADING, MEANEST, UNKNOWLEDGEABLE, UNHELPFUL human being Iu2019ve EVER encountered in my entire life! Was super nervous going in but was actually a quick and painless process. Security was awesome! had a very upbeat attitude and kept the lines moving and people happy. Was in and out in under an hour!

Stopped by the Yakima Social Security office to ask a quick question. I was subjected to tighter scrutiny than TSA at the airport. Security person WITHOUT GLOVES on pawed through my purse. I am now throwing out my purse. Feel as though I was personally violated.

The security guards were very nice and polite. Went above and beyond. The lady who helped me was not as pleasant. Very unapologetic and wouldnu2019t let me make an appointment for my next visit.

Used to go to the office in Tri-Cities, and personally would consider moving back to Benton County just so I could go back. Case worker Maria V. extremely rude and incompetent. Dropped off paperwork three weeks ago and called her Ext. for her to tell me she hasn't even looked at it! At first thought she had a bad day but now realize it's just a bad attitude smh...
