Only a security guard was there, which is okay. Asked which forms of ID I needed to include in a drop off envelope for an application, he told meWhatever you're comfortable with.So... Not super helpful. Calling the number on the door and waiting on hold for ten minutes gave much clearer instructions, was able to drop off needed documents.

It was extremely frustrating to get ahold of them, I must have called 90 times in the span of a couple weeks at different times. Most of the time I got a busy line tone but sometimes I got to an automated system that would eventually saythis call cannot be completedand hang up on me after being on hold for 30 minutes. Today by some miracle I finally spoke to a person and got an appointment! You just have to be really persistent!

This is in regards to a telephone call. I was on hold for over 50 minutes. The recording came on numerous time that they were sorry about my wait. However the phone just automatically disconnected after I had waited so long. I could of used my time in a much better way. Very frustrating

It wasn't busy when I walked in. I didn't have an appointment. There was only one clerk working at the time. I didn't wait too long. He was friendly and helpful.

These people must be underpaid because they are the rudest people in st. George. Also someone must have dropped the ball on sending my babies ss card and now I have to jump through a ton of hoops to have it u201creissuedu201d. Thanks for hanging up on me when I wasnu2019t finished asking my questions, zero accountability so they feel they can treat people however they want.

Entire State 0f Utah is open, everyone is on the job , but the Social Security Office is closed . You are instructed to call a specific nr. and arrange for a phone appt . I called the specific nr . to arrange for a phone appt., and after being on the phone forever , I was finally connected to a call center in the state of WA. I was told that there were no phone appts .available at the present time and that if I didnu2019t hear from someone within a week , try back again . In other words call and wait on the phone forever again, until youu2019re u are connected with another call center . Why do we the people allow this nonsense to continue ?

Went today to see if my husband can get a 1099 form for his taxes and they are NOT even open and the number does not work!! He has been waiting 2 months for the form!

I have tried to call the Social Security Office for many days---They keep you on line waiting and then hang -up--I can't even get answers to simply questions e.g. Where do I sent my part B medicare application. Terrible

Even though the entire state is open, this office will not meet with anyone in person. The man answering the phone at this St. George office was very curt and then hung up on me because I expressed frustration over not being able to meet with anyone (I didn't cuss, btw). Upon calling the general Social Security number to make an appointment that would be over the phone, I was told they don't have any appointments and they would contact me within a week (what are my chances of hearing back from them?) This is the kind of service government provides.

So for the past 5 to 6 months I've been in a loophole on trying to get a replacement for my social security card since it was stolen( along with 2 utah state IDs, they actually got found and was being sent through the mail but usps lost it) and now they want me to go online since St. George isn't meeting face to face, and create this account on ssa.gov just to fill out a ss-5 form which I end up getting suspended cause my info doesn't match. Then I have to prove my identity and send the new form with whatever ID I have left through the mail. Sorry the post office lost my social security card and I'm not too comfortable with possibly loosing important ID. This sickens me and it's appalling how lazy and disrespectful local and state representatives are when trying to get stuff done...

After having a rough start 2 weeks ago with some rude man on the phone, I had a very pleasant experience setting up my social security application though a phone appointment. The individual who was very nice and her name was Karolyn. She went up and above in her explaining and helping me finish the application. I know a lot of people have issues but this lady deserves praise and appreciation.

Not at physical location, I called in for my need.nI applied for Disability back in July. It was of course Denied as I had expected.nI filed appeal and sent Directly to St. George office. I had not heard anything since September the 25th, and called in. I did have to wait, however not as long as I had thought. I was greeted on the phone, asked to Verify my Information (Appreciated), and given information that I needed to obtain quickly and efficiently.nI will call first from now on. May take a while, however worth the time !!nNow to hurry up and wait for a decision to be made.

This SSA office is the most helpful and courteous office I have ever had to deal with. I have called to ask multiple questions about Medicare and SS and every person I have talked to is extremely helpful, patient and always stears me in the right direction to accomplish what it is I need to accomplish. Without them I'd still be trying to wade through the complicated systems of Medicare and SS. Thank you all for your help, your professionalism and your kindness.

Knowledgable people that are friendly too. If you don't want to wait in the office to talk to them all you have to do is schedule an appointment with 1 quick phone call. I can't believe people on here make it sound like they are being messed with....just read the info and schedule an appointment. Its easy. I scheduled my appointment, showed up 15 minutes early as the asked me to do, logged in to their kiosk to make sure I was there, and they called me in to a private office on my appointment time. They guy that helped us was very informative and since I was filing a restricted application on my wife's Social Security I wanted to talk to someone not file on line. This has to be done right and I had heard nightmare stories about SS people not knowing the new rules but this guy was excellent and super nice and efficient. I couldn't be happier and he answered a lot of questions I had. A 10 out of 10 experience for us and anybody that thinks that its difficult to get done is not informed. Set an appointment over the phone and show up on time is all you have to do. We are super happy.

Google said it was open at 9am. Got there at 9:30 & it was closed. Sign said no reopening date available. ud83dude20

Why are they not open to go in personally to get things done? The rest of us are back to our jobs working with people face to face. This is ridiculous!!!!nEveryone has had the chance to get vaccinated if they feel the need to, now itu2019s time to get back to work.nHow ridiculous!

You think it was bad then....now with covid...you have to mail in your real ID card. Wait for the snail mail to send it through the Provo post office. Then back to St. George and they let it sit for a few days so there are no germs. Then wait for the reply to go through snail mail to Provo and then back to St. George and pray that they dont lose your ID. And you Don't need your ID during that two weeks time. If you have to send your driver's license hope you don't get pulled over for some minor infraction.

ONE employee there at 1 p.m. in the afternoon with at least 15 people in the waiting area. TWO security guards. ONE young mother who really needed parenting classes and her unruly child (don't see that as the child's fault, she is stuck with the mother she got). She was verbally abusive to her young daughter, told her she was rude, when in fact she was exhibiting the same behavior, got on her phone to carry out personal business LOUDLY, and yet the guards did nothing. After waiting 30+ minutes we couldn't take it anymore and left. This is absolutely ridiculous.

They donu2019t allow anyone to come into the building and want you to call in instead. If you want help they want you to send originals of birth certificate, drivers license, marriage certificate, etc through the mail. Totally unreasonable that you cant open up safely with masks and social distancing. Very disappointed with the service I received.

Get there early if you go right at 9am. Don't be affraid to stand by the door either. I waited in my car till 9 and lost about 5 spots in line. I was 25th in line. You have to check in at the kiosk then they give you a number. Only took 35 minutes to get in to the window.nnAs far as the service I received, it was fast and the lady was nice.
    Sariah Jackson
I applied for my SSN as a non-citizen. It was very quick. They are very nice as well. It took me about less than 15minutes to apply. It is fast if you have all your documents ready. ud83dude0a The woman on window 3 was very professional and effecient and nice! ud83dude0a

Just know that they close for lunch at 12 and there's only one window open... I wish they would have posted that on the website. I'm a medical professional and my work day is mon-fri 8:30 to 5 so idk how I'm supposed to get my government paperwork done. Short of taking the day off and losing more money and time sitting here.
    Sherli Scearce
The security guard asked my daughter to leave and breastfeed in her car. That it was a federal building. It was 93 degrees outside. If I could go negotiate I would . They should check the law of Utah and Federal buildings
    Lois Diehl
I have been to the office 3 times in the last 6 months. The longest wait time was 50 minutes and the shortest 25 minutes. The associates were helpful.
    Relyssa Anee
It's not open. The number on the website was wrong in the beginning of May, but they might have fixed it. The number in the window is correct and they were super helpful.
    VaNia Anderton
After waiting 15 minutes the representative on the phone was short and Condescending. They seamed irritated after only one question.
    Tommy Wu
Damn long wait times might as well be called DMV SSI Office wish I worked for the gov so I can get long brakes and long lunch hours.
    William Workman
I have never seen Amore hon organized slow system that they have at this Branch they have two windows open with over 20 people sitting in that one room and as far as a half hour goes I would say it's more like an hour to an hour and 15 minutes thanks for nothing
    Cheyenne Jacobson
I had to sit & wait for a good hour & then the lady that helped me at window #1 was just completely rude. Definitely needs an attitude adjustment.
