I've been in the military, a school teacher, and a waitress. I've never been spoken to the way I was today. There was no hello, how may I help you?nnShe literally stared at me. I gave her my application, and she stared at me. Then she said, ID...nI gave her my ID and my daughter's school ID along with her birth certificate. She asked me if I had my daughter's social and I said I didn't remember it to which she told me that my daughter is old enough and I should be more responsible to have it memorized. She actually saidat your daughter's age and your age you should know this by heart. Then she proceeded to tell me that she was leaving in 5 minutes and that she couldn't find me in the system. She was so rude that all I could do was laugh right there with my daughter. I then started to stand up and told her that I would need all my paperwork back that I would find somebody else to help us to which she said, no I already have it processed. So I waited for her to finish and all she said was you'll get the card and the 5 to 7 business days. You could feel the tension and the hatred through the plastic divider. I really don't understand what this treatment was about what rendered it but this young lady definitely needs a permanent vacation. What for ma'am?

Before COVID when i went in to initiate my Social Security retirement everyone was very knowledgeable & helpful. Now that we can only call, the person was abrupt & didn't seem to have access to view what I had received in the mail that I was asking questions about. They show they never withheld federal taxes when i specifically asked them to when i signed up a year ago. Hopefully things will very back to normal & offices will reopen!!

Trying to get my daughter's social security card and it's been impossible. Keep getting different answers what I need to send in. Guess my daughter will still be without her driver's license, because they can't give out the correct information. Even the main line didn't know what was needed. Been jerked around since November. Do better!
If I could give 0 stars I would. If I could report their poor service to someone, I would. Over a month ago I turned in all the information needed to change my name after getting married. A copy of my drivers license, a copy of my marriage certificate, and a copy of my current social security card. After not hearing anything back from them for weeks, I called them. I was told my application had been denied because I gave copies of my id and marriage certificate. When I asked how I was supposed to provide original copies, given they are not open for in person. She told me to put my real drivers license and marriage certificate in the envelope with the application and they would send it back to me. Like is this a joke??? How am I supposed to do anything for 30 days while you process my information without a drivers license? Oh and what happens if these important documents get stolen or lost in the mail? This is absolutely unacceptable. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

I can only speak on my experience with Waxahachie, TX Social Security Admin Office. It has been a nightmare. Their customer service sucks. Their employees doesn't seem to have any empathy or patience with disabled people. I don't care if you're working from home, they should still be professional. They sound cold and heartless, some sounded clueless. I think the SSA needs to do a review with the Waxahachie office. Their customer service is unacceptable and rated as unsatisfactory, for me period.

Very rude and dismissive over the phone. I asked what documents I would need to bring in and was the agent replied -I just told youand then rattled off a list that could not be understood. This behavior is disgusting and there is no value in keeping this office open if they refuse to do their jobs. It's wasted money in a time when the resources could be better allocated.

I have tried to get my name change for MONTHS. I have called them a number of times bc they havenu2019t sent my divorce decree back since I needed more info and every time I call they take my number down to call me back and NEVER DO . I canu2019t get another original decree bc I donu2019t know where it is . They donu2019t answer the phone at all anymore . Iu2019m very upset I didnu2019t think it would be this hard to get ahold of them or even get my name back . I have asked them if they donu2019t have it to just let me know and they just say theyu2019renLooking for it and theyu2019ll call back but clearly they donu2019t

No attempt at service. Call over and over but all you ever hear is a busy tone. Canu2019t go in to the office because of COVID. The kids working in fast food brave COVID and perform their jobs but not these people. Typical govt office that cares nothing about the community theyu2019re supposed to be working for.

Canu2019t speak too much about the place, I didnu2019t realize itu2019s appointment only (my bad). But the officer in charge of security today was extremely helpful and patient. I brought everything I could possibly need and he made it easier all around.

This place is a joke and they drag their feet. They have yet to send me back my drivers license it's been 3 weeks. Then they give you attitude when you ask where it is. All other government offices are open now...except the SS offices. Don't take my DL if you aren't gonna give it back.

This is ridiculous. I have called for the past 2 days and left messages and no one has called back. I have no idea if my application for a name change was approved but they shredded my current social security card. When I spoke with the lady on the phone she said she saw my application but didn't see where my name change had been completed then just transferred me to someone's voicemail. I can't get them to just simply make an appointment and I have no idea if there is an issue with my application. Why do they not call people back and the lady that answers the phone just transfers you to someone's voicemail and they never call back. This is crazy!!

Iu2019ve been calling for months, since August and now itu2019s February to get my case resolved and I get excuse after excuse, no one not even the manager of the office has called me back yet. Also the people who answers the phone has and I donu2019t care attitude. I hate to believe my case has been pushed back on purpose.

I've been trying to get ahold of someone and once I did have someone on the line they hung up on me I called back and requested a supervisor and was directed to a voicemail. I left a voicemail and never received a call back.

I didn't have the courage to stick up for myself 10 years ago but I want to write how I was treated here then. It was the hottest day of the year. I went here with my ex to get his social with our almost 6 month old. The baby vomited on his outfit on the way and we had no AC in the car. I took his onesie off and took him in to cool off in the AC and wait for my ex to be called. The security guard forced me to leave with my baby because he stated my baby didn't have a shirt on. It was 115u00b0 outside. We had to wait in the sun for over an hour because of that out of touch security officer couldn't let a baby sit with his parents inside.

Incompetent. I sent via Certified Mail, my original Decree of Divorce along with the application required to follow the judges order and return to my maiden name. In a few days, my original was returned to me via regular mail in an open envelope with an ugly message typed out in ALL CAPS and BOLD on a half sheet,ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ONLY, WE DO NOT ACCEPT PHOTOCOPIES OF ANY KIND! How is it that an employee paid to do job doesn't recognize an original document? Especially this one having all pages stamped with the judges seal and a court stamp that states,Originaland signed in blue ink to further identify the document as original? Ugh! So disappointing.

Tried to get a new ss card for my son, mailed all his info in to the south Dallas office and they denied him. So I called because his info was for some reason sent to Waxahachie office. Well a lady so sweet and understanding asked me to take and drop off a form and she had it fixed that same day and we received his ss card on time to start his first day at DBU. Thank you

Had a review appointment when they called phone rang twice I answered then it said call ended. I tried calling the office number nothing but busy all day. It's unfortunate wasn't even on my end.

I just called the Waxahachie office, tried to understand the person who answered the phone, I couldn't even tell if it was a Male or female bc the voice was so muted. When the person asked me a question, I told them I could barely hear them and they hung up on me. Clearly not dealing with the public face to face makes them think they can be rude. Perhaps they need a different job. Too many people out there looking for work and these people are being rude.

3 calls, all of which were disconnected after a lengthy hold time.

Spoke with Mrs. Guerrero today. She was extremely pleasant and made sure to take care of an urgent matter for me. I would be happy if everyone modeled their work ethic after her.

I went in to social security for help. And the lady that helped me treated me like I was a criminal. Yell and being unruly toward me. Lady that helped me was being very un professional. Then the guard there came over and basically pulled me away. Told me to go outside was yelling at me and treating me like I was a criminal. I didn't like how I got treated. I spoke to a supervisor about it. Basically did nothing and took the lady's side and Guard. Worse treatment I had in social security office.

They don't send you the paper work you need then send you a letter stating they need to hear from you by 12pm and the person with your case won't even answer the phone or return your calls! What's the point of you having a job if you can't do your job!

There is this woman there, that act as if i borrowed money from her and i am coming back to borrow again but I never paid her back the first time. She has no morals/ethics at all. She come s to the window with this evil look on her face. She act like she is the supervisor. She is ridiculously hateful for no reason. It is so hard to report a SSA employee about how treat people and She knows it. I been up there waiting and i have heard her talk so nasty and rude to people.i wonder if she's aware that most people have work all their lives and we had no choice or voice about the FICA deduction from our checks. She really need to be cleaning the bathroom because toilets don't feel the pain she causes people.i am sitting here dreading to go to that social security office but I return these papers

You can not call with a question unless you know the name or extension of the party you want to speak to. There is no directory option. How would any one know the names of representatives unless you have had previous dealings with them.
    Bryan Taylor
They don't answer the phone send letters to require you call before a certain date but no answer , leave a message no call back. This is my livelihood and I've done everything i am supposed to do and i guess at this point i.ll get a letter saying i didn't respond.

Went on a Wednesday morning my hubby and I was in and out in 15 minutes, the lady that attended us was polite. The only thing was that the officer made us feel uncomfortable when we walked in.

This office is much better than the Dallas office nevertheless, if you send something to them via mail, make sure it's certified return receipt, otherwise they claim they didn't receive it. I expected better service from this office.

the man that helped me is sweet and caring and absolutely there for me. He said I could call him anytime I needed to. They are great help to me and I think them so very much!
