Upper Darby Social Security Office

Went today morning April 8,2022. I have a change name request and it was so easy and smooth. The person who assisted me was very nice. Everybody was so helpful. The waiting outside is not bad and they allow 6 people inside and the rest can wait outside.

I really think their dropbox hours should be extended to their normal business hours. I was told to come back the next day for a simple drop off. See their hours in the photo fyi.

I had to update my name and it was quick and easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you!!!

Horrible office in Upper Darby. Employees are downright rude, inconsiderate and you will probably get hung up on if they canu2019t answer an easy question. This system is broken and someone should look into the problems. Hire people who care

Mr Lin has helped my daughter get set up for and make adjustments as she receives SSI. My daughter has an intellectual disability and Mr Lin has always been highly respectful in his communication style with her and he is always able to answer our questions quickly and thoroughly with accurate information. It is a pleasure to work with someone who is so competent and responsive! We are thankful for his expertise and help!

Mr.Lin and Ms Ortiz are the worst human beings I have encountered. They are rude and liars

50/50 chance you talk to someone nice that isnu2019t talking down to you, also waited and waiting 6wks for a ssn replacement, no license, had to mail in everything(immigrant). Not a complaint but there should be a faster way because itu2019s literally 10mins from my home maybe a Dropbox, or appointment pickups to help move stuff along faster. Suggestions

This is the second day in a row i been calling and been on hold for more than 20 minutes just for someone to hang up on me.nnBluntly i dont appreciate it or respect it. Im calling for my son , if you dont want to do your job let someone else have it.nnAlso since whoever wants to be a peasent i will submit a new application.

This is an assessment of one person only. The office is pleasant & itu2019s a nice place to visit. Ms. Grant held my awarded 1st payment ransom for three months. I followed her instructions verbatim. Patiently I waited +/- 45days and the first installment didnu2019t arrive electronically [ as she stated] according to the detailed notes, dictated in the office. At this point I phone Ms Grant twice a day for +/- three weeks Answering machine and on occasion Iu2019d speak lively. The last conversation Ms Grant said u201c Donu2019t call me , I will phone youu201d. We all know how this ended with Ms Grant. Fast forward four months after the award, into to the office I pay a visit to Ms Cane. Very businesslike the following week my 1st award is deposited. In conclusion the staff at this location (excluding Ms Grantu2019s behavior ) is highly professional. The Veteran who oversee the security detail for this office is the best. It's funny that I have to risk my life to work at a retailer which is now open normal business offices but the as office can't do duplicate cards for emergency purposes. When taking the right precautions for safety then it should be ok.

These people think are giving you their own money. They are ignorant and rude refusing to answer questions properly or help in any way which is what their job is. I tried to go back to work after 20 years on SSD and no one told me to call in my pay amounts each week although I reported to them I was working . Now they abruptly cut off my SSD based on estimated pay rates asthey never received my pay stubs(which I mailed them). I also became sick again so I left my job and have no income although I was told going back on SSD was no problem if I found I could not work within the first 3 years. They talk to me as if I'm a thief . So yes, I spent 20 years on SSD struggling to eat and went back to work for 1 year because I knew I could steal money out from under their noses!! I made about $10,000 so you figure . These people are so smart I bet they all have at least a 6 grade education and common sense? It disqualifies you from working here.

Called about pending claim. Woman who answered was rude and zero help. Said their office only takes applications. Can't help with anything else. Need to call Harrisburg. Very patronizing

Went to this office today(8-17) after calling the 800 number. I have an appoifor August 29 but was advised that I would be seen. The lady at the window wouldn't even let me tell her what I was there for. Just told Tha I couldn't be seen because they were understaffed. I think She didn't feel like working.

My appointment was at 9am, but office still isn't open. There is also a huge line of people waiting.

They never picked up their phones.

I have applied for my children' social security cards ten weeks ago. However , i did not get it yet. I came over many tomes asking about the process, but it said pending. I waited and waited and called handers times,but no benefit. I think people in Upper Darby appartment do not do their job appropriately.

The operator was unprofessional and more than rude before telling me Iu2019m not going to speak to anyone after I nicely asked to speak to someone else or his supervisor.

I walked in the security officer was so kind and explained to me what I need to donI waited and filled up my applicationnThen a nice man called me to desk 2 and boom Iu2019m finishednEasy Nice KindnIdk why the reviews were so bad

I love my office most of the time I'm in and out in 15-30mins. Other times it's alittle longer ud83dude1e but they get the job done

Walk in for my SSN new applications. Get the number, fill the form and wait for my turn. Less then 20Mins. Very fast.

Some of the people that work there act like you coming to ask for their own personal money even though you already went in front of a judge but instead they act like you are a burden to them and don't want to do their jobs it's because of people like ourselves that they do have a job

First time i be there the person in a window1 no make my aplicacation the right way and I need back again, the second time the lady in a window3 are fabulous explain me everything how works and explain to why my first application rejected any way GOOD EXPERIENCE

I went to the office today and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. the person who saw me was polite and helpful
