I sent all of my information to obtain my marriage license. I was not confident in sending such important documentation in the mail. I asked if I could please drop it off, but due to Covid I was not able to do so they said. Of course, almost a year later, I have still yet to receive any of my documentation back. I have been unable to change my name on my license and banking due to this. Calling the office to speak to someone and have my questions answered have been near impossible. All I have received from them is my new social security card. All other documentation has never been returned to me.

I had an awful experience with this SSA office! First of all, the person on the phone was trying to prove to me that Iu2019m not eligible for getting an SSN card, then, after I pulled up articles off the official SSA website they finally agreed to schedule an appointment. Come the appointment day, I bring all of my documents and copies to submit to them only to find out a couple weeks later that they misspelled my name! I called and explained the situation, they were absolutely unapologetic about it but assured me that the name now is edited and I should be getting a confirmation letter in 2 weeks, and then an actual SSN card with the correct name on it. u2026. So, itu2019s been months and none of the above happened except for a letter in the mail that they wonu2019t be issuing me an SSN as they couldnu2019t match my name to anything and my application was turned down! Of course it was, because the person with that name does not exist! Anyway, dealing with this office itu2019s been nothing but a headache. I have never encountered someone as unprofessional and as irresponsible as those people. If the supervisor ever reads this, please know, itu2019s high time you revise the current staff!

Website needs editing - saysopen nowbut not the actual Belle Vernon office. ONLY by phone. No problem getting through by phone and setting up an appointment in near future (by phone). Courteous, helpful and direct help. Originally was planning on driving out - glad I double checked. This is as of late September 2020 - yes, THAT year!!

This place is a nightmare! Always plan on spending a minimum of 45 minutes to a hour even if you just have to drop off papers. To drop off papers you still have to take a number and wait. Last time i waa there i sat and waited for 1 hour 55 minutes just to hand papers to the guy at the counter. Speaking of counter guy ( the bearded older guy)hes the only decent person in that place. Nothing ever runs smoothly there.

Never open when the website hours say, and the hours posted on office door ate just as bad. Sat till the time stated and still nothing. Tired of wasting time and gas. Also they don't update my info when called or taken in then they say it's my fault. I think not, you dropped the ball don't blame someone else own up to your mistakes!
