The 60 mins on hold to make an appointment was very frustrating. No walk-ins welcome. The security guard seemed bored and not interested in doing her job at all, but unfortunately she's the only one that'll let you into the locked office.nnI'm the positive, once I was let in, it was a positive experience. I signed in on the kiosk and was called up quickly ( there was no one else in the building). The lady helping me was quick and efficient. Handled everything very well.

My experience would not allow me to give this office even a single star. The security guard is un interested in doing her job. No one answers the phone. The phone tells you that they are busy and yet there is no single person in the office. I was standing outside the locked doors and could see that they were not busy. These people are just uninterested in doing their jobs. A great disappointment.

This place is a joke! When you go there-they keep the doors locked. So the only person you can have a conversation with is the guard sitting at the door through the door and you canu2019t hear a word she is saying. The only thing I could understand was appointment and that apparently she doesnu2019t work for the social security office and could not answer a kindergartner question. Maybe educate the person you have sitting at your front door to answer basic questions and maybe get her a little window with a door so we could understand each other! If you want to be treated like a 10th class citizen itu2019s the place to be!

I was there on 8/17/20 at 2:45 pm to apply for Medicare B special enrollment, but the office is closed due to Covid-19. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and instructed me to send the application to this office via post office.

It is the worst place, people who work there don't care and don't do their job right. Constantly mess it up Don't apply your social security benefits at this office.

Fred, Unit #55, was extremely helpful and worked through closing hours to thoroughly take care of my application process. Actually answered the phone 15 minutes before closing time, which I've found to be quite unusual for most federal offices. Excellent service!

Called office to get my mom a SS card as her previous was stolen had a history of calling the office and getting different feedback back in the course of 6mo, called and the representative Mr. Gerlock was very rude and would not let me tell her history of her application status and stated u201cI control the interview, and I only ask you the questionsu201d this was very unprofessional and made my mom very upset as she could not get her point across. I asked to speak to the supervisor and and which he told me he will transfer my call and then hung up. Very disappointed

The unwillingness of SSA to make appointments to see people who are struggling with SS/Medicare questions and concerns is unconscionable. I have been calling for 2+ months, and I'm unable to resolve basic questions like when I'll be billed for Medicare (even though I've received 3 different premiums by mail). Issues like this cannot be resolved on the website. Telephone wait times are excessive (50+ minutes today), only to be told that the person on the line cannot provide answers to my questions. Other government agencies have managed to serve customers during COVID, even customers who are at risk. It's time for SSA to re-open.

So they closed the offices due to COV19 and now if you apply for benefits they are being denied! because you cannot bring in your only 1 original birth certificate (that is next to impossible to get replaced ) that is Not right - if you close the office and do not give applicants an option to bring in person documents that are irreplaceable - then applications should be automatically extended - not denied (because you cannot bring in the paper work) .. i did not close your office - you did... yes you can send it it but if you have only 1 original and it gets lost in the mail - you are SCREWED!

Although we waited less than 30 minutes, it was difficult to hear your number being called. The speaker/intercom system only works in the hallway in front of the SSA employees, and difficult to hear in the waiting room with people talking. Once we got to the window, after 10 minutes, the SSA employee said that our 10 minutes was up, and that we needed to end the meeting. We were not aware that you only had 10 minutes to speak with an SSA employee nor does it state that on the website or posted in writing on the walls of the office. We are U.S. citizens and have paid into this system for many years. Why were we given only 10 minutes to discuss our future and make important decisions?

Currently waiting four hours plus. Office seems to be disorganized. Staff goes to lunch between 1- 2 PM and has one person scanning all that are waiting. This way to handle the low hanging fruit requests and get them out of the way. Subsequently, instructing those with more difficult questions to wait. Then at two pm they start seeing people with their requests. Need to have lunch done on a rotation basis to keep the ch low moving.

Came to social security for help regarding submitting paperwork requested from a phone interview to Mr. Elvarado to be discriminated against by the front desk security guard. Brought my registered service animal with me because I was not well the day I went in. I had the proper ID. Dog was in container. I have a medical condition causing seizures and the woman wanted to know why I was disabled. I tried to hand her my service dog ID and she waved her hand away at me and said,I have nothing for you.She brought out a supervisor to speak to me about the 'situation', there being none as I had sat the the back, the animal quietly laying by my side in her carrier. Way to make a bigger deal out of nothing when nobody else was even paying attention just to make life harder. Dealing with social security is hard enough as it is and then added rudeness and unprofessionalism to top it off is not appropriate.

The employees here are highly incompetent. Prior to coming to this location, I called to confirm what documents exactly they would need to see for updating a SSN card from non-citizen to US Citizen status. The rep on the phone told me only the original SSN card and government form of ID such as drivers license is required (no US citizen certificate was required). Then when coming to this location they said they needed to see the original US citizen certificate but that wasnu2019t available since itu2019s with the Dept of State for US passport processing. A copy wasnu2019t good enough for them. If only they could tell you over the phone EVERYTHING you need to bring instead of waiting until you show up at their office and told of a different requirement. Not only are they incompetent, but so are their systems for not being able to recognize when someone received citizenship. Do their systems not talk to USCIS? Itu2019s 2019, get with the program.

I've been to this office twice and unfortunately have to go there tomorrow morning.nMy first experience there was horrendous. The male worker was incompetent at his job. He after being very rude and not listening to what I was telling him asked a co worker for help. He then wouldn't listen to the directions the coworker was giving him until the coworker said ok and started to walk away. Finally after 21/2 hours I was done and had to call another office to have his work corrected.nToday I went in to sign a payee form and was told it would be 2-3 hours before I was seen because I had a person before me whom had been already waiting 2 hours to see someone. The explanation was that only certain people can do SSI work. I left and attempted to make it to the Easton Pa office which is 40 minutes from the Bridgewater office. Unfortunately I didn't reach the office in time.nI plan to be the first one at the Bridgewater office tomorrow. I'm expecting disappointing results. I hope I'm wrong.nI would give this office a D- rating . I would suggest that some retraining be given to those there that are in need.

Nota Bene: The new Social Security office is wonderful . Also note that service access is very reasonable time wise. A new Kiosk allows easy entering of your social security number a receipt is printed and dispensed by the Kiosk . This number will be posyed on the screen facing your seating area and you will be called via speaker of which SS Booth to go to for processing.nPlease know that the SS Administrators are extremely knowledgeable and present you with a global review of what Social Security will do for you . I do not believe that i can name who I met with but do want to say that she is rated by me as a 10 out of 10 ( 10 ) being the best rating.

Don't go here. You will not be able to go in. They will tell you to call a number that rings and have you on hold for long periods then disconnect. Then tell you keep calling keep calling. Total waste of time and gas

Poor, there's no transport bus. Recently you moved from Somerville to Bridgewater. We had no idea how to get there. No-one wanted to walk in a distance miles. I suggest you to provide the bus and 1800 number I hate it. It takes too long to wait on holds
