Anytime Iu2019ve contacted the Social Security Office in Lawrence, MA. I have received prompt and courteous service. Iu2019ve reached out to them by phone, sending forms via mail and twice I went in person. Iu2019ve lived in the area for almost 10 years and I feel the SS office in Lawrence has given me the best overall experience over any other office Iu2019ve contacted. Itu2019s not often people take the time to say u201cgood job & thank youu201d so Iu2019m doing so today. Thank you folks and good job!

I called this office and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly and unhelpful. Also important to note that the information they have listed on their website about needing to make an appointment is incorrect. This is a government agency and they should update this ASAP.

Alex Valdez is a terrible manager. Very unprofessional and doesnu2019t know how to speak with people. Iu2019ve been calling for the last few days and I donu2019t know if itu2019s bothering him to do his job, but he has a nasty attitude and shouldnu2019t be working a job that has to do with customer service. Donu2019t know if heu2019s just miserable, but 10/10 would recommend to get a new manager.

My sister passed away in April 2019. Apparently I am due a refund of her last payment. Approaching ten months, have called twice. Every time, the response is the same. Give us another month or two. Also have had three employees tell me thatit is a not a priority to refund money to beneficiaries/executors. But it sure was a priority to pull the money out of her account which was done within a week of her passing and two months prior to the issuance of a death certificate.

The ability to access your Social Security benefits and receive effective assistance and answers not available on the SSA.gov website is imperative. Unfortunately, most employees lack the skills and capacity to respond to questions and resolve issues. Something must be done to escalate the talent of all Social Security Administration offices whether it be done via continuing education and training or eliminating ineffective employees and replacing with qualified, competent and willing to work employees.

Poorly managed office , no accountability , they denied application without any explanation. All they offered is appeal. They just take time processing anything . Covid is their scapegoat. Will head to other offices out of state to get things done .

Mr. Alvarez, Mrs. Taveras, Mr. Carrillo, and Mrs. Castillo are very nice! I spoke with them several times on the phone and each time, they were patient and understanding. I am in a dire circumstance (stage 4 cancer with a physical disability as a result of major surgery); my son has a mental disability. They have helped us get the help we need!

Had the worst experience with this lady that picked up the phone . She was awful ! I am just trying to get a name change and she was so unprofessional and uneducated. I work at a pharmacy and i will never treat people the way this lady treated me today . I asked her for a supervisor and said no and hung up. The worst !!!! I called back and she started to curse me out ! I will never go to this place !

I sent a packet of materials to be reviewed for an appeal and the man on the phone told me they were never received. They were sent certified mail with return receipt and so I went to the Lawrence post office and got images of the signature and proof they were delivered.nnIncompetent? Dishonest? Both? Our taxes pay their salaries so neither is acceptable.nnTime to end Social Security and Medicare and replace them with something better. Our money supports a dysfunctional bureaucracy and not benefits for the public.

Horrible! Uncaring staff! Wait is always 2 hours or more!!! Mr Alvarez never returns calls and doesn't care or gives wrong information!!! My case was closed due to length of time they took, now I have to start all over and it's been an entire year!!! Staff favors the hispanics I know, I speak Spanish and I can hear them giving them information on how to cheat the system! Must be investigated! Don't go here please!

Worst customer service ever, for a branch of the government and what they conduct is not professional. They tend to argue over asking for a status of a application ud83dudc4eud83cudffc
