If you send in your marriage license to get a new one with your new last name on it be aware that you most likely won't get your marriage license back. They claimed that they sent mine back to me, but I never got it and I now have to pay $76 just to get a new one. The guy I talked to on the phone was very rude and all he wanted to do was argue with me so waiting on the phone for as long as I did was pointless.

I work at a bank and help elderly clients that don't know how to call SS get a hold of them in regards to their direct deposits. I have tried multiple times to call and 9/10 the line hangs up with a busy tone. The 1/10 that an answering machine picks up it goes through the options and once I click 0 the voice says the call cannot be completed and hangs up on me. There is literally no way to contact anyone in Pocatello or Idaho Falls. Now i been on the phone for over 40 minutes waiting on the 1800 number, hopefully someone answers there.

Went to the building to be told to call the # so they can help me so i call the # to only sit on hold for 40 min then get hung up on. When i call back itu2019s just a busy tone.nI mailed off for my new social security card a month ago. They said if i havenu2019t received it in 2 weeks to call. Well itu2019s been a month and Iu2019ve been trying for 2 weeks to get ahold of someone and i canu2019t even get through to anyone. This place is a joke.

After filed a appeal they sent me forms well after 60 days/ months later . I had to call for them !! Then they were mad at me !! Says on internet itu2019s their JOB after you file an appeal . Says on their website .... Now no info and when you call their rude . ! Better not ruin my offset date to you their neglect !

My tax dollars hardly at work. I called three times, beginning at 9AM when I waited an hour and a half on hold until I finally gave up, then at 11:30AM when I was on hold for a half an hour before I gave up; then at 1:30 I was finally, after only 35 min. on hold, able to talk to somebody who could not tell me when an application, I filed a month ago, would be processed. Why can't this office be staffed to handle the volume? Oh yea politicians who say government doesn't work , won't allocate enough funding to hire enough people to handle the amount of work that needs done. Stop electing obstructionists to public office!!!

So whatu2019s the point in telling people that you will assist us over the phone if you donu2019t answer? Your hours are Monday-Friday, 9-4 and Iu2019m sitting in your parking lot trying to get ahold of someone because the doors are locked. This is very unprofessional.

Zootopia all over.You know at first gives you the impression of this I am not even sure how to begin to describe like the impression of exessive dignity and this like bloated and overly exaggerated attention to details.You feel like it is totally fine if they had to check everything thrice or what is ten times three?nIt should not matter if they process 3 people in 1 hour.What are couple hours compared to eternity,right?At least they are thorough and orderly.nThen few business days later they mail new SS card to the WRONG ADDRESS.In our small city mail lady knows the residents and excels at her job,but if the city was few times bigger one can only hope that honest neighbors would return the mail that is not theirs.

It's nice that you don't have to stand in a line waiting and can sit down, but the couple times I have had to go here have taken forever. The place doesn't even have to be busy and it takes forever. The best was when I went in, waited, and then they told me I could only do it online and they couldn't help. Awesome, something I could have been made aware of an hour ago. Plan your day around it if you absolutely have to go in and make sure you can't just take care of it online first.

The times that I have been to the Social Security Office have gone fine. The wait time is not too terrible. It is a small town though, so I would not expect to be waiting forever. I like the automated system as far as calling people up; however, it was not helpful when walking into the place there is a front desk that is unmanned. Instead you are suppose to sign in using a computer behind you.nnI also was not that pleased with the answer I was given about my son's card. But I guess that is an issue with the federal government and not this particular location.

You might get what you need done here, but you might wait an hour to actually talk to someone before they tell you that you have the wrong documentation. Sure, I'm being dramatic, but let's be honest, it is still a government operation which tends to suggest that it takes a significant amount of time to get anything done.
