    As of today 4/8/22, they are only allowing the person doing the transaction inside their office area. They are also just now taking walk-ins. To get started you have to check in the lobby and then go to the hallway on the right and it will be the first door on the left, room 170. They do recommend having documentation and identification filled out and ready to present to security before going inside room. I don't have a review for actual experience as I am just currently waiting for my wife, will update only if have negative feedback; if not then it went smoothly.

    I can barely even bring myself to give this place one star. I have been trying for WEEKS to make an appointment or get a straight answer about a name change. I have been to several offices, tried to make an appointment, and have been strung around the entire city of LA and still have not been able to get a hold someone actually able to assist me. I was told to drop off my paperwork for the name change at this office and I did not need to make an appointment as this location has a drop box and they donu2019t accept appointments for a name change. Again, I call and call and no one at this exact location can seem to answer a phone. I get through and it says u201cIu2019m sorry, your call cannot be completedu201d. Really? So I go in and there is a rude security guard ready to hand out the phone number to the office saying, u201c You need an appointmentu201d. I tell her what I was told and she says too bad, you need an appointment. u201cSo I need an appointment to walk into the office and drop paperwork in a drop box, that no one is going to physically take from me?u201d She replies, u201cYesu201d. The Social Security Admin is a joke, and I will continue to write negative reviews on ever location I am sent to, as the service continues to be appalling. So much for assisting the good people of the USA just doing the right thing. Donu2019t waste your time.

    Ok so itu2019s been over a year since I originally applied for disability I suffer fro m 5 mental disabilities and was diagnosed at age 13 but my mother and father decided that praying instead of me taking meds was a better fit for me .     Called 25 minutes before closed kept me on line until I hung up at 4:30 pm even though recording says they are still helping others and they will be right with you. Terrible system, do not call the last hour before close you will wait and never get anwered.

    Came here to see if they have finally opened up. Rang the buzzer and I got a rude security Guard asking me why I was there so I gave him an answer and in the middle of me speak he said we are closed cuz of covid you know the locked down and everythinghad a nasty tone and talking to me like I'm stupid. Once they do open up I do not recommend coming here go somewhere else cuz apparently people don't like their jobs here and don't like to speak to you with respect

    Staff was nice and helpful on the phone, but they said they were going to mail paperwork to my house and never did. It was really disappointing because it's been months, and I called again three days ago. Hopefully they appear in my mailbox at some point and time.

    I moved to Norwalk over a year ago and this place by far has the worst customer service. Called and left 5-6 voicemails to the caseworker and never got a call back. Took my elderly parents who can barely walk to the department to resolve the issue which I thought they did, but got a letter in the mail saying their SSI been suspended. Tried calling the number and a lady said their system is down and to call tomorrow. I called and was on hold for over an hour just to find out the office was closed. Never in my life have I been so frustrated and disappointed with the SSI office, but this place is ridiculous. They donu2019t seem to care that 2 elderly couples need their funds for rent. They are so quick to suspend their SSI in a heartbeat. Shame on them!

    I have tried over and over again since March if 2019 to change my IRMAA due to a divorce in 2019 and I remarried on May 5, 2019. I have tried sending in forms to show I was divorced and then remarried. Last year I filed my 2019 income tax forms with my new spouse and our total income was under $100,000 but once again I got a letter stating they were still reducing my Social Security check based on the joint income of my 2018 returns. I donu2019t understand and no one will help me.

    I have been on hold 3 hours or more in total. At first the lady didn't want to help me and when I asked to speak to someone els she got angry with me and didn't want to put anyone els on the phone. I hung up and called again to be on hold for another hour just to get hung up on again.....this was all to schedule an appointment.
