I have been to the Madera office on two occasions. The first was to help a friend apply for Social Security disability and the second was when my husband passed away. Both meetings were great. The key is to make an appointment rather than walk in. The reps were very helpful, friendly and informative. They answered our questions, and were very patient with us. We never felt rushed. I would say that folks need to make an appointment if they want to have a better experience with this agency.

I was here about an hour an a half.nThe majority of the time was spent waiting, I was at the window for about 10 minutes total.nThe lady at the window was helpful & friendly, as was the security guard.nThe parking lot is kind of small, the building is as well.nI suggest getting there early.nHave patience, be polite.nThere are bathrooms, donu2019t know how they are, because I didnu2019t use them.nA lot of people hang around outside of the building.

This office is horrible, I have been trying to get my social security card for 2 months and Iu2019m a minor trying to get my license and apply to college. Wouldnu2019t you think they would speed up the process because I need the card. The first time I submitted my application they told me to put the wrong documents in and I just resent it and they still havenu2019t got back to me. This is what the government gives us as service. I get better service at McDonaldu2019s then this place ud83dudc4e

Very rarely will you get lucky and see a short line. The lines are almost always very ling and take forver and even when you finally make it to the window they still take forever to call you back up. You can expect to be here up to 4 hours waiting in this place. Not only that but if you call they never answer. At least in my case they haven't. It's always a 45 wait call and still no one answers.

Horrible long wait bathrooms were out of order, air conditioning wasn't working just too many people not enough worker and the security guard was very rude and searched through my purse by digging through it and moving my belongings upside down. But failed to search the men with back packs.

Terrible, terrible place to exist. Numerous problems. Unhelpful, give you the run around, tell you one thing but mean another. I literally tried calling them over the phone on many, many different days and they literally don't pick up. They are a scam office. Never interface with. Stay away!
