FINALLY OPENED THE LOBBY! I recently got married and was trying for a week to get my name changed and the number on the door didn't work. Seems to be bit better now. But PLEASE listen to people when they tried calling, emailing and walking in. It's been a struggle. But we shouldn't have to repeat ourselves that the number doesn't work to make appointments. THE NUMBER YOU KEEP TELLING US TO CALL DOESN'T WORKnnNow that's done, I'm very thankful that the lobby is open because now we can get serviced rather than playing goose chase

Our tax dollars hard at work. Office is still closed for walk-ins and you must make an appt but can't get through the phone line to speak to someone in order to do so. You work all your life with these people taking their cut from each paycheck and you can't even get answers or get someone on the phone. Why are they still working from home? Is Covid going to be an excuse for horrible service? NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!!!!!

Had an email from them, asking for some documents. Have been trying to call the office for two weeks. Phone does not work. Called the national office. They made a phone appointment with this office a week later. I waited for their call for the whole hour. No one called.

Had back surgery went there cuz online didn't say you need appointment so with staples in my back I drove there pulled the door was locked tried other side was locked no signs saying closed I pushed the handicap button and still nothing then this very RUDE security female guard comes out yells saying read the sign don't pull on the door, first she is an employee and should treat people with respect and she should of said you need an appointment and this sign will tell you how to get an appointmentthere was no need to yell and second she doesn't know that I didn't bring my glasses so I couldn't read that small sign and my back was in so much pain from driving there because the website didn't say you need appointment or you won't be seen. It's sad how this security guard hates her job or hates people and should not be working with the public. Word to that security guard in the flagstaff office don't yell at people I was only pulling on the door didn't hurt anything or anyone. I don't even know why they have a guard there the doors are locked.

Ridiculous. They should not be allowed to STILL be closed. If the DMV can be open so can you. I now have to spend money and wait weeks to change my last name for a service that I can only get THROUGH YOU, IN PERSON that is supposed to be free and take an hour.

The lady was so rude that I just spoke to. I wasn't quite understanding the terminology she was using and she was refusing to explain in more layman's terms. And then got mad when I repeated back incorrect information

Gotta say, I had a hoot of a time there! The security lady greets you with a smile and kindness and also makes you feel safe. The kind lady that helped me went above and beyond to make sure what I needed done happened and was correct. She was also fun to talk with, would love to meet her for a few drinks sometime... I think it would be a fun time. Anyway, great place unless your an a-hole and not kind to them. Just be a nice person. :)

The website for the local SS office did not say that it was closed except by appointment only. I drove an hour to get to the office because online couldn't help with my issue. I get there, called the number and was told they'd connect me with a person from my local office. I got their voicemail and have still not been called back and I left the message over a week ago

I have been 3 times in the last few months for different reasons. There has been a bit of a wait each time but have found the staff to be compassionate and helpful. I appreciate them. I tried to call the phone number listed. I guess it is for the Main US SS office because the wait time was 1 hour. I spend that much time trying to find answers to my questions online so I find it simpler to go to this office for help. They are very helpful and kind.

UPDATE: Scheduled appointment 2-3 weeks ago for this morning. Even received appointment confirmation call yesterday. Someone called 30min later. Apologized for being late. Grateful they were apologetic and graceful with my father during the call.

Terrible customer service, fully staffed office but unwilling to receive documents unless they're mailed. No drop box or place to drop off documents. Can't just come in wearing a mask and stand behind plastic like everywhere else. Seems like they're just milking COVID for all it's worth.

Iu2019m only giving this a one star because they donu2019t have the option for zero. Weu2019ve been in 3 times lately to try to collect SS. Somehow they havenu2019t been able to get the documents we brought on our previous visits into their system. They have given me very different data information than Iu2019ve found online and what the Denver office tells me and wonu2019t even try to explai why other than u201cThey are wrongu201d. We did learn something new though...a crochet hook is a dangerous weapon and isnu2019t allowed.

These guys lie to your face and even deny you access to management or supervisory staff. This place is fully staffed with the most rude and incompetent people Ive ever met or worked with. Its as if they go out of the way to hire the least qualified people with the worst people skills.

Waited on the phone to make an appointment for 50 minutes only to be transferred to the survey without being able to even make an appointment. Horrible system. There's NO local number to call so you have to use the 800 number even for local appointments.

Wait time to talk to a SS representative was one hour so I didn't bother. The last time I was in the Flagstaff, AZ office the front desk clerk was so rude I walked out. Typical government facility. No way to talk to anyone unless you have lots of time to spare.
