Called to verify what was coming out of my check. No personality no emotion rude. He however did answer my questions but I had to drag them out of him. After completing my request I said goodbye and he just hung the phone up very discourteous. It was everything I could do to bite my tongue. But I figured Google could handle this for me.

I applied for a replacement social security card and was denied because I did not prove who I am.nTheir application sheet states thatTo apply for a replacement card, you must provide one document to prove your identity. Then they ask forEvidence of Identity. You must provide current, unexpired evidence of identity in your legal name. They want all the legal stuff , name, DOB, Age, and parents info.nThey want your driver's license...the original. They do not care that you will be driving for a week or more without a driver's license. Or, you can give them your current unexpired passport. They do not care of the possibility that USPS will lose it in the mail service...what service...did I say service? Or, you can leave an original unexpired U.S. State issued non-driver identity card. That is with total disregard that you may need the card for other purposes or why would you have the card?nOr they will accept a U.S. Military Identity card. They definitely will not accept a DD Form 214 from the military that has all your legal information, etc on it. It does not have an unexpired date. What a crock! Or you can get a certified copy of your medical records and a statement signed by your doctor. Or turn in your original Medicaid card, or insurance card. They never listed your Medicare card. But maybe it comes under insurance. What a crock!nThe military DD Form 214 has more information on your identity than any drivers' license or other information because your social security number is on the DD Form 214 but not on any other document they wanted.

They are the rudest people, my caseworker talked down to me talking to me like I was a 5 year old! They lie so much, they need to fire some of those people

I would like to thank the staff of this office. I have had a lot going on. I have filed SSI for my son and also got married and needed to change my name. Everyone I have spoken to over the phone has had great patience with me. I have had so many questions and each person took the time to answer my questions. I believe the people having difficulties and having employees hang up on them might need to re evaluate the way they treated or spoke to them first. Thank you for your patience and dedication to keep our community going strong! ud83dudc9c May God bless everyone reading this!

Needed award letters, proof of income that were lost when my car got repoed to get into housing, couldn't get the online account set up and you cant even come into a social security office anywhere, why when everything is opened? They say appointments for anything vital , yet whats more vital than getting in housing when you have kids? Something needs to be done about these offices being closed when the public cant even get vital documents. Fortunately I called another Social security office and they are mailing us what we need, but this office didnt even give us the option.

I have left 8 messages for a rep who has yet to call me back. The other number kept me on hold for 18 minutes, apologized and attempted to reconnect my call, and then immediately disconnected. The paperwork they sent me was only one page, nothing to sign and no return envelope as stated in letter.

I have been trying to get my Social Security card for a month now they never tell me anything over the phone just that I need to fill out the paperwork and drop it off I have done that twice and they still will not send me a social security card I don't know what is going on with this place but it was so much easier when they did in person visits

Due to COVID, their office is not open for in person appointments. I had some questions about changing my name for my social because the print off papers state you need something different from what it states you need online. I called for clarification and immediately the woman who took my call was extremely rude and had an awful attitude and tone. She told me she u201cdidnu2019t like pulling up the instructions and reading them verbatim but she would if I would like to read them along with heru201d. After telling her that I can in fact read and what the issue was, she cleared her attitude up just a little. Sorry to have wasted 5 minutes of your day mau2019am.nGave 2 stars only because I got the clarification I needed.

I would give a zero but you can't so it has to be a 1 which is to much. I need a 1099 for my father who is 92 years old and very very hard of hearing and can not understand much over the phone, they would not give me a 1099, I have Power of Attorney but they don't recognize Power of Attorney. I need it to file his taxes in case we get another stimulus so he would be eligible to qualified for one. I didn't like the person I talked to he did not give a rip about my problem, but. Off course it was not one of this parents

I have been here for 2 1/2 hours. Saw a lady (Miss Wright) that couldnu2019t explain why I owed money. She was rude and impatient. She said she didnu2019t know why I owed the money and said I would have to talk to someone in the back to explain it to me. Been waiting another hour and still have not been called back to talk to someone...

Its website is terrible. I couldnu2019t login in as it kept saying it didnu2019t recognize my profile, demanding to login (or sign in) over and over, it never took me to anywhere. Well, my profile is OLD, but it wonu2019t let change me a new one, it was too difficult to do! It once was helpful but not anymore!

Lady in the office at the first window was so freaking rude to me and pretty much laughed in my face because I said I thought someone had and is using my social security number. She laughed and said no one had my social and that the things I brought in didn't prove anything, she had no reason to be that hateful to me. Hired IDShield the next day and they found the person who did in fact steal my social security number and they got everything fixed within an hour. So disrespectful for no reason, no one is making you work there, if you don't like the job and you don't want to help then leave.

Iu2019ve had to stay in touch with representatives over the phone. The people I have talked to have been rude and not helpful. I try to be really nice so I can get my information. They snap at you if you donu2019t understand what they are asking. I canu2019t wait until I donu2019t have to deal with them anymore.

Absolutely the worst experience dealing with this office.

Terrible. About what you would expect from Federal workers. Called to get a form. Nice lady said she would put form in envelope form with my name on it, and tell person at door to get the envelope at window 1. Traveled to the SS office, person at door refused to go to window 1. Said take a number, and wait 45+ minutes. Where do they find these people?

You think about signing up for your Social Security benefits for many years. When my time came it started off with misinformation from the national customer service and hours of frustrating back and forth. But, as luck would have it, when my husband and I made a trip to the Fairhope office that all changed. OMG!! With the personal assistance and professional service of Britney and Cheryl it's done!!! I mean what a joy and stress free! Britney listened to us to help and understand my situation from start to finish. Then she directed us straight to Cheryl. Cheryl's knowledge and experience was obvious from the first moment! Thank you ladies!! Thank you so much!!!

The security guard was very rude and disrespectful to everyone. Someone that came in didn't know they had to turn their phone down and instead of just asking them to turn it down he got really mad and rude.nWhen they call a # you can't understand them sometimes so a woman went and ask what # they called and he told everyone that the next person that just walked to the window was going to be thrown out but he wouldn't get off his but and ask them what # they were calling.nThey need to get a new security guard for sure.

I receive different information every time I call. The representatives are rude and unhelpful.

I called the Social Security Office in Fairhope, Alabama this afternoon (12/02/2013) to ask a couple of questions. Mr. Paul McLain took my call. Mr. McLain asked a few security questions to ensure he was really talking with me. I appreciated his doing this, because I realized that this was for my own protection. Mr. McLain was very courteous and helpful. He handled my questions in a most effecient manner, and even called me back with an answer to a question he had to research. Kudos to Mr. McLain!!nnHodge Stephenson
